While I agree with you on that point, one must realize that the Star Trek fanbase is massive compared to that of Code Lyoko, and, much like you/Taelia stated, Code Lyoko is nowhere near as profitable as Star Trek. Substitute Star Trek for any number of major fanbases out there, whether it be Transformers, Star Wars, or any other television show that recently became a movie, and the story is just the same.

Other shows have been brought back with a far smaller fanbase or even for no understandable reason whatsoever. Movies too, especially ones based off of cartoons. ^^Jeremified wrote:Lyoko422 wrote:Certain fandoms (like those that rhyme with Tar Fleck), after a cancellation- or an incarnation of the series so awful many choose to disregard its existence- have been known to remain so dedicated to their "dead" fandom that they make their own freaking episodes.

The only movies based off of cartoons that I can remember are the ones I mentioned previously, as well as Underdog. I'm not familiar with many of those fanbases, though, so I don't know if "fanbase size" had any influence. Would you care to give an example?
