It's getting axed, so there's nothing we can do. Not even a petition can save it.

Why do you say something that is contradiction to what we are saying? No offense but just wondering. *nods and smiles*

I can't say how popular it is - what I can say is that it makes a LOT of money. None of the developments that have transformed Antefilms to the titan that is Moonscoop would have occured were it not for the financial sucess of CL and the megabucks it raked in.

If I worked in Mooscoop I'd probably be a little arrogent by bragging about CL. ^^

Did Antefilms get cut or is it just in some remote corner and might return?

Antefilms merged with another firm (France Animation) and formed the Moonscoop Group.

There still is a subsidy group called Antefilms Studios - it is owned by Moonscoop, and consists of the 3D Animation Studio, based in Angloueme in southern France.

Don't forget Taffy Entertainment that is also part of the Moonscoop group!

I'm also too lazy to read over the last couple of pages, but what is this going around about CL being cancelled?

It's in reference to a statement made by a writer for Code Lyoko, Ms. Sophie Decroisette, in an interview featured on LyokoCode (one of my previous posts has links to the interview and a translation of it here).

She's stated that season 4 will likely be the last season of Code Lyoko and that it will end on what they hope will be a "satisfying" note.

She's also stated that while a 5th season is not impossible, it will depend on the success of season 4, and would also likely not include the established present characters as their storyline is reported to be wrapped up in this season.

What you say is still proving that the countries where Moonscoop get the most amount of cash is from the two i've mentioned.

This has come to my attention...

Postby Taelia » Wed May 30, 2007 12:14 am

"As most of the American fans of the popular Gaelic toon 'Code Lyoko' know, the show that has rivaled such shows as Full Metal Alchemist and Pokemon in popularity is about to enter its fourth season. But as was revealed by voice actor David Gasman (who does the voice of the diabolical computer virus 'XANA' on the show), the story was a bit deeper than the show itself. After much deliberation, the cast has been set for season four of Code Lyoko to be preceeded by a special Code Lyoko full-length movie event. The movie will be released simultaniously in France (where the show originated) and North America, drawing appreciation from the French fans, whose release date for the season was postponed until August."

A full-length movie?! :) This could be a great one, unlike "XANA Awakens". And Pokemon has 9 seasons.

Ummm...Taelia...where did you get that info from? ^^;

...And why do I feel like it was something I remember reading once before...like pre-season 3? *sweatdrops*

Indeed, I feel a lot of de-ja-vu but I can't put my tongue on it...

But let's just hope that Season 4 is not the case and has good unexpected surpises. But however, I am thinking there might be at least one disappointing surprise. For some reason, I have this feeling that after William destroyed the core of Lyoko, he was quickly saved by Franz Hopper and was separated from his evil counterpart and that in place of the real William (who was saved and is no longer possessed) Xana put an evil William (who was shown floating in outer virtual space). Meaning that the real William is somewhere safe on Lyoko and is safely captured by one of Franz Hopper's Guardians while Xana has the whole gang tricked into thinking that they have to go easy on Xana William (since the gang is unaware that this is a fake William and that they think it is the real William possessed by Xana).

Hasn't that happened already? Twice? In "Franz Hopper" and "William returns"? Well maybe not a recurrence but similar.

I honestly doubt the group will be dumb enough to fall under that sort of trick again, William was very one of them will at least be skeptical, and I don't mean Jeremy, as it was him sniffing (metaphorically speaking) out everything wrong.

After re-watching Episode 66, I found these screenshots, which I wish to show you.
Look at the guy on the far right. He looks familiar, don't you think? Focus on the bushy eyebrows, neatly combed hair and mustache. Could that be a less-grey, younger Jean Pierre Delmas? It hasn't, like, sparked a revelation about Jean-Pierre's character for me, but hey you never know.

Also, Look closely at the reflection of Jeremie's glasses. You can just barely see the number Jeremie dialed to call up Principal Delmas, which I make out to say (33)653-321-258, although those last three are really hard to tell. Again, not a big deal, but chalk it up on the list of Kadick numbers we know...

*cute little lightbulb*

I had a FEELING Mr. Jean-Pierre was in on all this. I don't know why, I just did. It just seems to have clues...and make sense...Say, why would he become principal of a school that just happened to have a passage to the sewers in a small indistinct broom closet? (That's no longer really used in lieu of the forest one, but it's still there...) And note how both characters lack a wife, but have daughters. Ooooooooo...it probably means nothing at all, but stiiiiilll...

*scans picture* Maybe there's more familliar people in there....

Or maybe it's like in "Fairly Odd Parents," how Mr. Crocker believes in Fairy God Parents and everyone thinks he's crazy.

Remember, the opinion of one does not a group opinion make.

Hmm - remember a while ago we thought Jim might be in on this based on his military service - Corporal Jim Morales, Seventh Engineers - and yet we never saw anything to support those theories.

I do think that guy in the pic looks like Delmas...and yet if he did have some contact with Proj. Carthage, you'd wonder why he keeps getting fazed in crisis situations - you'd think he'd recognise it...but the question still remains of whether he has any memory of Franz's tenure at Kadic...

Oh questions questions questions! :D

Well, TB, that might be making a stretch.

We don't know ANYTHING (or at least the bare minimum of facts) about Project Carthage. Litterally, Project Carthage could have utilized an entirely different OS, or been completely different.

Besides that, we know NOTHING about the project's supercomputer (and I'm assuming they had one.) We don't know if that computer was able to create XANA ghosts or clones or materialization scanners. And even if they did, XANA's ghosts and specters have evolved greatly since the begining. I mean, who else but XANA would create these things?

It's entirely possible that Jean-Pierre could not recognize Franz's work; or maybe he didn't work on it at all. I do think it looks like Jean-Pierre, and that the design of the school is suspicious.

I'm just saying we should be careful not to make too many leaps too fast and miss details.

Proj. Carthage and XANA/Lyoko are two completely different ideas. Proj. Carthage was a whole load of people, including Franz and possibly Jean-Pierre, while XANA/Lyoko was just Franz. Assuming that guy (or perhaps someone else in the picture) is Jean-Pierre, he could know everything about Project Carthage but either way not a thing about XANA/Lyoko. Ergo, he's just as confused as the rest of the school is.

I wonder if that all made sense...
