As for the original topic here, my cousin lives in Hong Kong, and he's recorded the Cantonese episodes, they're so cool!

Well, its kind of like a universal English/French to Chinese thing, where the English/French names are translated into Chinese characters that sounds like the English names!
Character names:
Odd = Ook-kay
Yumi = Yuo-may
Aelita = Ai-le-dat
Einstein = Ou-yuo-see-tan
Franz = Fa-lan
Ulrich's kind of weird = Gee-lon
Sissi = Say-say

Hmm...Weird, in the Key (unless the first two parts have them...), the Cantonese version never mentioned their names at all so all I heard was Aelita's name, which sounded like Ai-e-ta to me, but that's me xD Oh wait, there's Yumi's name...She sounds like Yao-may to me xD William's name is Wi-lim xD Ulrich and Odd sound the same. Oh and Hiroki's name is Sing-ying :)Wait....Does this imply that you can speak/understand Cantonese Warton? (Say YES xD) But, niceee a channel just for them...

And Japanese dub!! Yippee!!!!!!
Habataku mono wo mukaeru sora/Shihaisareru no wo osoreyashinai/Akogareru mabayusa wa/Subete wo kaeru tame ni/Dare mo yurusazu ni/Doko he yukeru darou?

The sky greets those who fly,I don't fear of being controlled/The dazzling brightness that I aspire for is to change everything/I cannot forgive anyone, where can I go?

Yes, I speak and understand Cantonese. :P
Literally my native tongue. But looking at Aelita's name, the way its said, I hear it as Ai-le-dat. Even the audio shows a little spike from the "dat". Aside from the ones I mentioned, I didn't go through specifically to pick up their names. Yumi's however, is flexible, but using literal pin-yin, it translates to Yuo-may. :P

Yippee!!!! I'm so tempted to slowly transpose Cantonese into English letters right now. xD

Anyways...Hmm...Re-listenting to it for like 10+ times I guess the "dat" part's true...I still stick with the Ai-e-dat though xDD Pin-yin....I dislike it :P Since I myself don't know it and whenever I read it I use the English pronounciaton of it...xD

Aside from Cantonese....It would seem like there's at least 9 dubs of Code Lyoko...

Latest news emanating from Moonscoop's Website.

The studio has purchased ANOTHER animation studio, Lux Animation of Luxembourg.

Code: Lyoko wins a major award (for more details see TL's thread)

The channels Kabillion and Taffy have launched in the US and Europe respectively. Moonscoop is seeking to develop similar channels in Asia and Japan (Taelia and Lani do the happy dance).

Italy started airing an Italian dub of CL this month.

Moonscoop's stock of shows has expanded to 3000 half-hours, or in simpler terms, 62.5 days of footage if aired back-to-back, just under 9 weeks worth of footage!

Jetix's Latin branch has comitted to airing S3/4 (this should make Rodri happy :) )

And finally (and most incredibly), a financial inverstment group owned by the French State has started buying stock in Moonscoop!

My friends, when Erynn started LF our favorite show was 26-episodes long and made by a small company called Antefilms. Since then, we have seen that firm develop into a giant, and all off the success of CL. :) Clearly we chose our favorite show wisely.

*Lani does the happy dance* I know that the art style will probably throw a lot of the Japanese off at first, though. But that's okay. They really like French stuff as well as American/English stuff, so it's all cool. >D

And. Call me a fangirl... but CL going to Japan means one thing: DOUJINS. Lots, and LOTS of doujins. UlrichxOdd, please someone make UlrichxOdd!

Now all the MoonScoop execs need is a multilanguage clip reel (like with Disney's movies).

(Comcast FTW)

It shows no Code Lyoko coming "On Demand" anytime soon.
It's just showing all the other shows that Moonscoop makes.

Yea, same.

I think you're thinking something else. I looked on the "On Demand" listings itself, sees no CL. As well as went to their website, which has the full schedule for the next 2 months, no CL showing up in there.
Simply, agreeing isn't enough.

O yes, I was looking thorught, something else but cant remember, :wag: to me

I think that's because they've already sold American broadcasting rights for CL to Cartoon Network, and I don't think CN's willing to give them up just yet. Maybe wait until the show ends, and then start giving some liberties to the COMPANY THAT MADE IT. :arg:

Kewl huh? Soon, I'll have the whole Season 1 DVD in Chinese. :P

Weird. The only difference between those two green colored covers pon that first link was that Yumi's eyes were open in the first one, but closed in the second.

Creepy.
