Tekirai wrote:...somebody on TV.com translated some of it. (I'm SERIOUSLY doubting if it's 100% right though, people at TV.com tend to mess things up a lot. No offense to them.)

The basic rundown is, according to them: new powers, new members of the gang, new characters, Milly and Tamiya participating more in the plot, William not showing up as much (mental images of U/Y supporters celebrating), barely any romantic episodes and that Season 4 will most likely be the last season although it's not confirmed.

I feel as giddy as a grapefruit after writing that, but one thing that's puzzling is 'The prequel of CL will ocurr on the first epis of season 3 (it will come here in the form of a OVA)!!!'. Mmmhm, I don't understand it either. xD;;

Once again, seriously doubting if that's right.

Yeah I doubt that's right, in an extract from an interview with Sophie Decroisette (you can find it in Wikipedia) it was said that William would be back and new romantic plots would take place. As for Season 4 being the last one, didn't one of the voice actors said it all depends on how well the merchandise sells?

Kay, I had the time to translate this text with freetranslation.com. It's terrible English, but it has some sense in it.

- That was predictable, and it was necessary to expect this announcement done to the fine Mipcom October 2005 in front of the professionals of the broadcasting one entire world, and as soon as relayed October 18 by the American site C21 Media.net then resumed some days later on this site.
- The season 2 of Code Lyoko, that done fury since near of two months in France (launched August 31) and a month to the States - Unite (since September 19) was going to see assigned itself a continuation of 45 unpublished episodes, carrying to 97 the total number of episodes of the series to successes.
- In parallel, no french-speaking site did not mention the new one, and the producer Moonscoop did not publish no press communiqué official, driving certain to question itself on the véracité of this launched rumor besides Atlantic. Of more, the attentive reading of the item of C20 could do to appear certain details disrupting; one there mentioned the production of the 45 new episodes directly for the chain Cartoon Network USA, this that semplait of the same blow to exclude the hypothesis of a French coproduction to the picture of the two preceding seasons. Thus, this new series would have been decided after a direct agreement between the producer and the American chain, without necessarily agreed side of the French broadcasters France 3 and Canal J, this that remains nevertheless to prove. Some lines more far, and the item specified than the origne series had been first coproduite with France 3 and Canal J, being able to do to believe than this would not be anymore the case for the continuation... at last, the author concluded in evoking "the last agreement with Cartoon Network that gives to the series a total of 97 episodes".
- Although these suppositions with difficulty can be been founded, continuation maybe to imprecisions of the English-speaking site, that showed in any case that the American broadcasters would be associated very in upstream to the season project 3, being able to do to fear to certain an "Americanization" series even there "100% French" (this that is not, to the passage, exact to 100%). Recall nonetheless that the first season had not been sold to the Americans that well after the end of the production period (March 9 2004, be 7 months after the launch on France 3), and that it had been announced the early acquisition of the season 2 by Cartoon Network to the surroundings of the months of December 2004 - January 2005, this is to say to the beautiful one of writing of the scénarii... Remain at which knowledges consequences will have this prévente on the final result. Hope simply that there will be not too much divergences of not at all any view between French and américans...

Sorry, I'm wiped out after typing that all in. Somebody else please continue for me? :sad5:
thank you all for the good memories <3

Ok, I’ve finished typing, translating and reading the entire article. I think every important detail has already been mentioned by Mewberries.

Some minor details are:

- Some fans are worried that the next season will suffer from “Americanizationâ€

No kidding... a manifestation of this effect was in season 2 when the American producers made the request of fewer "love stories" because they did a poll among children and discovered that they didn't like romanticism. I hope that in season 3 and 4 the love plots continue to play an important part in the series...

If you want my opinion...6 years old isn't right. It's too close to 5....and I doubt they let their five year old children watch TVY7fv.

But that's just me,

(Especially what the fv stands for..)
No signature apparently. I'm boring....O_O

It's fictional violence or something, right? I've never really thought about what it meant.

Oh. Good point. Now I see why that might be scary, especially considering the fact that they would definitely introduce rap or rock into it... <s>:music:</s>

Nossa Senhora D: I hate Americanization. It's like ...Leave it ALONE! They've already done it in Season 2. Like they say they're gonna set up a foreign exchange program with France. Even though they're IN France and I'm pretty sure Ulrich was holding a Euro in that same episode xD;;

....Oh. My. God. I just had the worst vision of UMSD being turned into a rap song. o____o

Wait a second...

that's the fourty minute prequel they had mentioned back at Odd's VA's thread at tvtome!

YDV...*cracks up hysterically* I think I'd pay you to write out a "rap" version for UMSD and perform it. As horrifying as having such a rap song replace our beloved theme song would be...as a parody/spoof, it'd be hilarious. XD

Indeed! Although now it's two 20 minute episodes. ^^

And the prequel's the way how Season 3 ends, as I read on Wikipedia.

I think it would be easier to handle as two 20 minute episodes..it would be much easier to digest the info without forgetting a whole bunch in one big one.

Hmm - I always had the idea that the prequel could be incorporated into the story as the gang telling a new member (Sissi? Fingers crossed) about how they met and how they discovered Lyoko - a flashback episode :)

Hmm, and this thing definately says 'New Members' - ooh, my Spidey-Sense she is a' tinglin' - and the Milly and Tamiya comment interests me as well.

I think Hiroki could be considered as well. After all, if years are not looped, Yumi will be graduating, and if Hiroki enters Kadic...

Just a thought...

I've honestly never thought of that before. I've always wondered how the gang found Lyoko. The prequel would be very useful.

Yes, I hate Americanization. It's like Yu-Gi-Oh!, where they say they live in America, but all the text and names are in Japanese. Same with Code Lyoko.

French rap is, well, horrible. Buttons appear to be a major part of French pop culture.
French rap from futuradio wrote:My finger is on the button... (push the button) My finger is on the button... (push the button) PUSH THE BUTTON! DON'T PUSH THE BUTTON! TRICK THE FISHIE! CHANGE THE CHANNEL! PUSH THE BUTTON! DON'T PUSH THE BUTTON! TRICK THE FISHIE! CHANGE THE CHANNEL!

If they made "Un Monde Sans Danger" into a rap, I think I'd die even though rap is my favorite genre of music.

Americanization is bad, but Companies will continue to do this as long as we import shows in a forgeing language. The only thing we can do is write and complain (and be thankful they're not speaking engrish.)

I hate rap. I love Rock. Still, if they attack the CL song, I will destroy the foul monsters responsible, hunt them down, throw them in a ditch, and dance upon their grave.

Anyone with me?

I thought though...that in terms of French schooling, Yumi wouldn't be graduating yet. She's in the equivalent of ninth grade for the American school system, but I believe the French school system just has Primary, Secondary and then University (college). I'd have to double check this...but I think that's how they're probably going to hop over the "Yumi's Year" issue.
