You know, if I wasn't writing so much other stuff right now, this would be a great fanfic idea.

Aurabolt, I think Aelita actually COULD show a lot of the independence that she does now, as long as it develops over time. She'll start as the innocent and cute girl, but eventually develop into someone more like she is now in the show. She'll be like an "almost-tomboy," I guess...if that makes any sense at all...

This would be absolutely amazing though, if they ever did it. It's not likely, but still possible, as PPGZ shows.

As for some differences, I think that the gang would be older in the anime, like high-school age. They would definitely have some sort of powers in the real world, and XANA's monsters would invade more often, as others have mentioned. I'm not sure about that "henshin transformation sequence," that you mentioned in the first post, TB3, but I can see some sort of scene that shows them flying through a portal or something similar as they transform into their Lyoko avatars, then dropping to the ground on Lyoko. Maybe they stay 2-D as they transform, then there's a flash of light and they appear in 3-D on Lyoko...

EVERYTHING would be bigger, from the monsters themselves to the attack combinations (big awesome special attacks and stuff) to the battles themselves (more enemies and flashy moves). Odd would have actual powers like the others, and Aelita might have some way of attacking as well. XANA would eventually get smarter monsters, and maybe ones that could talk, and would have a physical form (at least on Lyoko, if not in the real world).

I can imagine the anime having evil lyoko warriors, who use a better factory on the other side of the city. If they have an episode where it shows how they found the factory, they'll have an extra person but they'll die trying to protect Jerimie from XANA, then when they activate RTTP that person wouldn't wake up that morning. Another thing is that at one point there'll be an evil Alieta, and we'll have the best fight scene shown in CL anime

I'd love to try and draw them in anime...i can draw anime (not perfectly....). I've done some anime-Aelita's, but that's about it....it's be interesting though.

Though I'm not seeing one point. If they have their powers outside of Lyoko, would there be any difference when they do go into Lyoko to deactivate the tower? Like I can see them becoming their Lyoko avatars but would that just be it?

Do you mean as in graphical style? As has been said before, it has to be 3D. Or did you mean powers? I guess in Lyoko their powers would be stronger.

Well, I'd imagine that yes, their powers would be pale shadows in comparison to what their Lyoko forms would have. For example, Yumi could have trouble bending spoons in our world (with her mind) or lifting small objects, but on Lyoko, she could pick up multiple car-sized boulders.

Or Ulrich might be able to move a little faster, or Odd have higher durability (shield).

Aelita... I don't know.

Aelita could sence activated towers in her mind, and have an abilty to hypnotize people with her voice, if she choice. LIke a real 'siren' from Greek mytholgy.

If anyone's played final fantasy X-2 then I can imagine it like how the girls transform using a dress sphere, but with binary numbers thrown in the mix.
X.A.N.A should, by anime laws, have proper hencemen that rival their powers, unlike the overpowered William who was their for what, 10mins and beat everyone. Their needs to be more possesion of the lyoko warriors, or one of them joins X.A.N.A by choice.

Then, we have to have the "mysterious guy" who plans on using Lyoko for his own ends, occasionally provides help to both sides, but no one knows who he is exactly.

Not to mention, XANA needs something like... generals. Stronger then monsters, weaker then XANA.
