I could swear that aelita had a green earing in season 1 and now has a red one... strange...

Funny that you mention it. On season 2, she began using the red earings. A minor detail that usually the average CL fans could care less as long as the turd throws her pink orbs.

At any rate, that's incorrect. Her earrings always looked like that and haven't changed.

That render of Aelita's head (and earring) that Evil Jeremy linked is an unfinished one (you can tell because the quality is slightly lower and it still looks slightly blocky and pixelated). Also, that render has none of the awesome lighting and shading that the Effects team of animators adds into the show later (after much of the animation has been figured out), which is why it looks so bright and unusual as well.

The design has not changed. The placement of it however has. She used to have it higher up on her ear, but in season 2 it was placed more like a regular earring.

Actually, when I exported it...it seems to me that these are the finished products. They do indeed lack shadows and curves. However, I don't see it blocky or pixelated in anyway.

Looking at it in high-resolution, Evil Jeremy linked the medium version of my picture, you don't see it blocky or pixelated at all...that is, if your browser minimized it, then you didn't click the picture to enlarge it.
I'm sure nhjm449 and me exported it flawlessly.

However, if you pay close attention to her eyes in the high resolution image, you can see that it is a little "fazed" a tiny bit. That does go towards the doubt that it isn't the final product, but it may also be a way to make her look a little more..."fleshy".

That's just my thoughts, but I'm sure the pics are good quality.

I'm willing to bet that it's not the "finished model". Not only because of the points you made about the eyes (as well as the lighting which is an equally key part to a good model), but because it looks like a lot of the "unfinished models" I've seen in other CG "Making of" features. It may just be the lighting though, which like I said, is essential. ^^

At any rate, I totally meant no offense towards you over how it was exported or anything. Even if it was a "finished version" or "unfinished version", exporting it (unless of course, it was done at a lower quality of compression or the like), wouldn't have any effect on it either way...since, if the animators themselves haven't added it in yet...it won't export with it anyway. ^^

Although that would be cool...have a wireframe and export it as a "finished model". Ah, someday.... ^_^

That gun and "monster standee" are not actually real. They are both photoshopped from the images of the new monsters, group image, and the red background pics.
No, we didn't do it, we found them that way.
Now, if you look at the high resolution HERE, you can see that the center image is indeed pixelated.
So, they both arn't real toys...but since it was from the source we got it from, one can assume they are prototypes.

Hmm... I've been had!

Oh well, nevermind, thats just my designer side kicking in, try'na make things outta what I see...

Ah... I remember that. You never showed me a pic of the outfit or either the pic of yourself wearing the outfit. You promised me... but nowadays, who am I to reclaim you such thing?

The "couldn't care less" quip... ehh... I'd say that the much younger CL fans wouldn't care or pay attention to minor details like Aelita's earings or if Ulrich wears a Armani tux or if Yumi wears Prada... kinda like that was my point.
