Wow, this thread has been buried a while. I'm not sure I agree that she is what you say. She certainly has bratty moments, but she's proven over and over that all she wants is to be a part of the group (and Ulrich would be a nice bonus).

In Season 1 Here is what I thought:

In some ways Sissi is more real than the other characters.

She hides her pain at not having close friends.

She actually cares about what happens to people even though she rarely shows it.
Remember how worried she was when Odd was trapped in the dorms as they were falling apart?

I really enjoy her dialoged too.
Sissi has some great lines like . .

Jeremie! That's reassuring. It's nice to know that the closest thing to Bruce Willis is coming to the rescue.

I still like Sissi in Season 2, but now the other characters are starting to seem more real now.

Sissi is jealous that Jeremie's found love, but she hasn't. That's probably part of why she calls Aelita Mrs. Einstein.

Aelita is the new girl, but she's automatically a part of the group that she wants to be in. That also probably makes her annoyed.

Holy s**t. I read this whole thread again and this must be the most off-topic CL thread ever in LF History. Lol, there wasn't many members by that moment... we didn't even had a Mewberries by that moment and BKO was our pride, holding 75-80% of the forum's total posts.

Sidenote to Mewberries, animenologist and others who have BKO access and barely post there, but hang out a lot on CL Discussion: do something at BKO to reverse the stats.

To steer it back to life... what do you guys expect from Sissi for Season 3? Given that the new Season will be short, I can imagine Sissi not doing much things, except for playing something partially important on Ulrich for 2 episodes at least.

What you guys say?

yeah shes mean and all, but the group is just as mean to her. Ulrich said he was taking her to the dance and then never showed up to even blow her off. Thats cold, just really cold.

Don't know what she sees in Ulrich though, he's always being all emo "Waaaa! I don't think Yumi likes me!!!!" even though, ya know, all the signs point in the opposite way.

Sissy is a tricky one.

I cannot see Sissi as Goth.
Sissi does not whine about being given lemons.
She makes lemonade and if she needs to use
someone’s head to smash her lemons so be it.
It is this trait that allows her to be a major
storyline driver.

McTrooper – A real good analysis.
She is in many ways the most realistic character.

Probably the most important episode to understand Sissi is
A Great Day. She starts each time the same but each time things
turn out very differently based on how people treat her.
The first time is like a game of chess.
The second time Sissi believes Ulrich trusts her.
The third they piss her off and she destroys the gang.


RoDrInCuBuS – Third season Hmm.

Sissi would make a great addition to the gang.
Unfortunately I do not see any evidence this will happen.
If Sissi does become a member of the gang it will probably
be at the beginning or the end of the season.

Another interesting way to use that would be for her to find out
but keep it secret.

Sissi and Aelita becoming friends would make a good story.
I could see them working together to protect Jeremie and Ulrich
or maybe one of the dorms could be damaged forcing them together.
There is very little reason to expect this but it is one I
personally would enjoy seeing.

Sissi and Odd already has it’s own thread but the writers
will play with this one. It can be a lot of fun.

Sissi and Ulrich this has moved into a new phase and if Sissi
does not get totally pissed over the dance it will probably
continue down that path. In Vertigo, Is Anybody out there?
and even Tip-Top Shape we see that Ulrich and Sissi are
spending time together largely away from the rest of the gang
and that Ulrich now seems to trust Sissi.


One problem for Sissi is her grades.
Summer school or repeating a grade is possible.

I just realzed something. Sissi's name is an insult to herself. I mean, like if she introduced herself to a new student, on second thought, I'll just give you the short scene I thought of.

Sissi: Hi, I'm Sissi. And those two lo-
New Student: Wait, you're a sissy? *burts out laughing* That...isn't...some...thing...I'd...want to...admit! Loser!
Sissi: Why you little-
New Student: And who arre those to losers behind you? Stupid(Nick) and Nerdy(Herb)? *laughs even harder*

Having watched Marabounta this week two things hit me:

1)Sissi may have known Ulrich longer then anyone else.

2)I would love to see a flashback to elementary school.

Especially if there is an event in elementary school that caused
Sissi to fall for Ulrich.

I don't think he "hates" her anymore. To be sure they're not "friends" in any sense of the word, but if Ulrich absolutely hated her or considered her "dirt" he wouldn't have accepted her company in "The Chips are Down" or "Is Anybody There", among others.

I can't say I'd blame Ulrich though for hating Sissi. Her track record with him, is none too good. "LogBook", "Routine", "Swarming Attack". She's been really mean to him in the past, and things like that are kind of hard to "forgive and forget", especially since Ulrich seems like the type who can really hold a grudge. ^^;

Yes. If I weren't sure of it, I wouldn't have posted it.

But really...he might have hated her in season 1, and I honestly wouldn't blame him if he had, considering she had done a considerably less amount of redeeming things in season 1 than she had in season 2 and Ulrich doesn't forgive so easily (which is one of his vices, I guess ^^ ).

Season 2, I'm not so sure he holds anymore hatred against her, and even so, going back to season 1, he couldn't possibly have thought of her as nothing but "dirt". He protected her in "End of Take" and stayed with her in "The Trap", so obviously he considers her worth saving at the very least. Any hatred he might hold against her doesn't override his morals of doing the right thing and the value of a human life.

That's why I like Ulrich alot...even if he absolutely can't stand you...he'll still help you out if you're in dire need of it, because he knows it's the right thing to do. Point in case: William, in "A Bad Turn".
