Death on Lyoko

When someone dies on Lyoko, why don't they go back?

Is it that they can't go back, or is there a time limit?

what do you mean? if they fall into the digital sea you mean? all in all, its because the super computer isnt affected by the RTTP's so after the RTTP, they would still be stuck in the digital sea.

I think he means why can't they go back into Lyoko after being devirtualized. And right now, we don't have a conclusive answer. At first we thought it was related to physical condition, that the body would be tired to go in and be virtualized again, but that couldn't be right. In a few cases, they went despite some injury, like Ulrich in Cruel Dilemma or Odd in Cold War. If you check the "Let's talk tech" thread, our current theory is that after they devirtualize, their avatars are decompiled, so in order to get back into Lyoko, Jeremie would need to recompile their avatars before being able to step back in. Its the same principle as the vehicles, they get destroyed, they need to be recreated. Except the avatars are more complicated and thus take a considerably longer time.

That's very good. Before season two, we'd probably say it has to do with the RTTP, but that's not the case.
What will you remember me for?
