Agreed, expect for the part that Ryu has more strength than Ken and Ken's a bit more faster than Ryu.

Thus the qualifier most part. Ken basically goes for stylish unpredictability while Ryu focuses more on technique (atleast what wikipedia states). And in other games, beyond SFII, they are given differences to help deviate them even further. But still for the most part, they are almost clones of each other.

G-Force wrote:Well Ryu and Ken practice Shotokan karate and clearly Odd was going for boxing. Besides, Odd laked THE Ken move when he was fighting. To put it bluntly he never yelled out SHORYUKEN! C'on, what's Ken without a Shoryuken.
Now if you want to compare CL to Street Fighter, Tip-Top Shape is a bettter example. Odd's clearly throwing Hadokens like they were going out of style.

Pencak Silat is a real fighting style. Look it up on Wikipedia or something.

Super Sprint...Shukuchi...all he's missing is the ominous foot tap before he sprints off...he's even got the "no emotion" thing...although he doesn't smile like Soujiro would.But still...the outfit is similar...the style of fighting...the great sprinting speed. I wonder if he's ever tried the Shuntensatsu... ^^ What am I rambling about, you ask? *sweatdrop* I'm a Rurouni Kenshin fan...I can't help it. ^^;

Indeed I am a fellow RuroKen fan!
*highfives* I also have two posters of Kenshin...along with this really cool set of action figures...and all of season 1 on DVD and some of season 2...particularly the Soujiro episodes...and...I'm rambling again, aren't I? *sweatdrop* ^^;
I haven't ever seen Final Fight though, so I'll have to take your word on that. ^^

EDIT: One question..it's about Yumi's style fighting..what's her style of fight?
Your De-Virtualization wrote:....The only reason I'm saying anything is because I don't think anyone's answered this, but I'm pretty sure Yumi uses Pencat Silat as well (considering she practiced with Ulrich in Garage Kids), but she may also use some sort of Japanese style... OH! Wait! I rememebr this.. uh... there was this style of fighting that involved using fans.... *Googles*
Yeah! There we go! Tessenjutsu! ^^
Er, yeah... dunno if the animators went so far as to actually look up some moves for that, but it sounds plausible to me. >>;
