Odd's arrows

Postby Taelia » Tue Apr 11, 2006 3:21 pm

I noticed that in S1, Odd's laser arrows have a metallic luster to them that makes them shine like gold. But in S2, they lose this shine. Why is that?

Actually, if you notice, the graphisc grom season 2 are very different. While Season one was a little, well, grayer, it looked very real and very detailed. (Ie, the forest floor looked very rocky, and not smooth marble) Also, look at a krabe as it fires. It fires out a cylindrical lazer.

But in season 2, they seemed to brighten things up a lot, ame it much clearer, but much more computer animated. It looked rougher, and not really finished. Now look at a krabe firing in S2, and it's a flat beam, and looks like it was just sketched in there with photoshop.

Season 1 was way more Detailed if you ask me, but the fans hated that because it made them look Dark, so They made it look more like A Regular Cartoon instead of an Anime Look. [It's not really An anime]

I'd say it was more faded than dark. Season two is more eye-catching and brighter. Not that it sparkles, but if someone with no knowledge of the show was flipping through the channels, they'd probably pick season 2's graphics simply because they look more inviting. On closer inspection, though, they'd see the small stuff that season one had (like the difference in ODd's arrows) over season two.

XD I doubt they'd do that though. CL's kind of squeamish about them. In "False Start" they didn't even want him saying that the nail gun he was using to shoot Roachsters was "like a gun". Instead it was "like a swiss army knife". ^^; Then again...is a kid supposed to know exactly what using a gun is like? *sweatdrop*

In the latest "Shadow the Hedgehog" game, Shadow uses a gun...a revolver I believe. ^^ So PepsiPiper thought they might switch Odd's arrows out for a gun type weapon a la the style of that game. ^^

Wait, but how could using a nail gun be like using a swiss army knife. I mean, I have a swiss army knife and it doesn't seem like a nail gun, but trhe again I've never used a nail gun. (I'd probably poke someone's eye out if I did)

No...he used a metal pole first, and then a nail gun that Odd found for him.

That's why it's amusing really. What happened was that they cut some dialogue so that it didn't make sense to us entirely in the English version. In the French version Odd says, "C’est comme un couteau suisse… en plus efficace!" which translates roughly to "It's like a swiss army knife...very efficient." In that it's efficient for killing Roachsters along with nailing stuff, just as a Swiss Army knife is efficient for more than one use. But in the English version, Odd's speech is shortened to just, "It's like a swiss army knife."

The end half is lost and thus we are left with a sentence that doesn't quite make sense. ^^;

That's kinda insulting and doesn't make any sense in this thread.

Angie - I don't get angry much, but THAT is beyond the pale - Matt has been a great friend to you lately, answering your questions through my PMs, and if you say things like that again I will be telling him.

And Lyokowarrior, Mewberries replied to your post if you look up, so please don't be childish.
