Which do you think SHOULD be the proper name for the kids' school - Kadic Junior High School or Kadic Academy? :umm:

Kadic Academy is the name I've always used in my stories, and I'm sticking with it. It seems to fit, you know?

Kadic Junior High sounds kinda stupid to me. :\ Kadic Academy sounds more dignified, really. Like my school is Shimna College, not (Junior) High. 8D

I think Kadic Academy :)
Why? Because Kadic is supposed to be in France, and I don't think they'd call it a Junior High School there :X

Academy I'd say, because Junior High refers to a specific age-range in the student body, and Lycee Lakanal caters to a much wider spectrum - it even covers college-level students, and I like to think Kadic does too (because then we don't have to worry about any of the kids graduating any time soon).

And honestly...a high-school where a large number of the students board doesn't quite float with me - if Kadic is an Academy it implies that it has an distinguished academic history and reputation, and thus it makes more sense for parents to send their kids there from a distance, in order to benefit from the education, rather than send them to a local school.

You have a point, though the school was referred to as a junior high school in the Amercian version of S1. ;)

Kadic Academy, it's a lot easier to say.

Nya~ What would the shorthand japanese be? Kadigaku... Kadic Gakuen...

Maybe "Kadigaku". Its formal Japanese titlization would be, yes, Kadikku Gakuen. :)

Currently, you will not see me in Forums any longer. I will be on chat though. ^.~

Kadic Academy, because of all that smart stuff they learn there. No "junior high" teaches that level of science or math. And because Jeremy is way too geek to go to some generic JH. It has to sound cool, like Academy. That's my logic.

Personally, I prefer Kadic Academy. It does have a more dignified ring to it, and it goes well with the characters, who are always so dignified but never stop being cool and fun. Besides, if it's called an academy without specifically saying how old the kids there are expected to be, we can make them as young or as old as we want them to be within the schooling age. And that doesn't make me feel too much older than them.

S1 was also the only season to have Roachsters... ;)

Kadic Academy has that added alliterative appeal...

lol

Well, I'd say Academy, 'cause in the first friggin' ep of CL S1, Sissi referred to it as a "College."

My bad; it's technicaly assonance and consonance, with a dash of internal rhyme.
Unless you pronounce it fast, in which case the "c" in Kadic and "Ac" in Academy blur together- Kadi Cademy does alliterate.

I see what you're aiming for, but you're still cheating. :nyeh!:

Shakespeare cheated...

When I come back, I will probably find that Cassius wrote:I knew Shakespeare; Shakespeare was a friend of mine. Tangent, you're no Shakespeare.
