Hmm - episode one (Teddygozilla) has Sissi in her undies and Yumi getting in the bath with full nudity down one side as she puts on the towel.

Another notable ep is Attack of the Zombies - controversial enough to never get aired in the UK (presumably for its scene with Milly in the shower.)

And yeah, I talked about nudity in CL in a school document as well, I made it one of my arguments regarding different cultural opinions on what's acceptable content in the media in a university examination

I also remember one or two episodes with Yumi in her undergarments talking to Ulrich from her cell phone in the bathroom, right before she gets in the shower. She's wearing her kinky red undies. Risqué! I also think there's one scene where you get to see her get into the bathtub, but you only get to see close-ups of parts of her body, like her foot and her shoulder, and then later you see her taking her head out of the water, unable to answer the phone.

...why do I remember all of this? Because... er, because I need to do a report on it.

And let us all consider the episode where Yumi and Odd switched bodies - in it we saw Yumi (inside Odd) went to bed dressed in his dayclothes, thus avoding having to change.

Odd however (in Yumi's body) slept in her nightclothes - so what went on during those scenes we never saw where Odd changed...actually, lol, this is more of a BKO discussion (laughs)

*blinks* ...You don't see anything more than one would if one watched the (original) movie, "Psycho". ...Which is to say, that one sees nothing at all.

Honestly, there's never been any true "nudity" in CL, and even in the few scenes that are considered "controversial", one doesn't see anything more than one would if they were to take a trip to the local pool (and that includes the shower scenes too).

They could have cut anything of the sort, surely. Then again, maybe the "zombies" didn't help...

Possibly...maybe there was some sort of copyright infringement arguement too.

...Or it might have been the fact that this is one of the few episodes where the Lyoko gang are shown landing "hits" on fellow "humans". Ulrich is shown nailing William and both Ulrich and Yumi later kick down several (granted "Xombified" ) students. ...Maybe they thought other kids would try that?

Most other episodes tend to cut before an actual kick or punch is landed...this one didn't.

The report I am doing is on controversy in Kids Shows and I watch a lot of code lyoko and thought it would be a good reference. All I need is either the episode names or the season and numbers.

Um, what? They never aired past A Bad Turn/Temptation. I highly doubt it was 'too controversial' to air. It's more likely Toonami thought HAY LET'S JUST AIR HALF THE SEASON AND PLAY THE REST WHENEVER LOLOLOL or something along those lines. The UK is more loose with ratings anyway- like the game Phoenix Wright for example. The first one is rated 7+, while the US has it rated PG-13. Then there's the scene with the baths in HP and the Goblet of Fire, and it was rated 12A (that's only slighty higher than CL's... it was 12A for the EEEK DRAGONS AND BLOOD AND EEK ETC scenes probably *I used eek, don't ask*)

I don't see how, we saw Sissi's underwear about three or four times over the season.

Notice that in one ep, just before we can get a similar view of Aelita, XANA attacks? If that isn't proof that XANA=Franz Hopper, engaging in some sort of Xanatos Roulette campaign, I don't know what is.

You'd think if it was a controversy thing, they would have aired CL at a later time. Then again, considering all the things shown/strongly implied in all the kid comedy shows, I don't think partially nudity in CL would be such a big deal.

I'm just waiting for a certain episode to air in a few weeks so I can see Odd dancing around in nothing but a towel.

Really though, I don't see anything that's "controversial" with the changing scenes in CL that we see Sissi and Yumi in. I mean it's not like the show is painting the characters in an inappropriate light or anything of that sort.

Still the thing that I've noticed interesting is how frequently Yumi and Sissi are cited for such scenes despite the fact you see Odd and Ulrich in similar states of undress even more frequently such as when you see them in their evening wear. For the sake of equality, shouldn't these moments be referenced as well?
