How long?

Postby Lyoko Wario » Sat May 10, 2008 10:35 pm

For how long do you think you'll still like CL? I think we have all had that one show, when we were younger, that we just thought was the bee's knees, but as we got older we gradually stopped caring? I, myself, have never come to hate any show I once liked, (well, with one exception, but let's not get into that) but have gone through this sordid phenomenon many times. How long do you think it'll be before CL becomes dull in your eyes?

Personally, I still love the show. My love for it, I think, has not decreased one iota, and the only thing that kept me from either staying up until four in the morning or waking up super early to catch it during that ill-fated late run was that I have class in the morning. The lack of new episodes is discouraging, but when the movies come out (the movies are confirmed, right?) I'll be there full of excitement, fanboyism, attachment and obsession. I don't think there's a problem with me remaining fond of the show as I grow older; it's a good show and doesn't get in the way of our maturing.

How about you?

EDIT: Bad joke deleted. Anyhoo, are the movies confirmed?

Well, I like the show. I'll admit that I no longer take the time to watch it, other than the occasional episode that I have on my computer. I think it's a good show, and although I don't see myself worshipping it for the rest of my life, I don't think I'll ever grow to dislike it.

I get the feeling the fandom will be around for a while, even if the show isn't. Though that would make us like the Sailor Moon and Ranma fans... scary...
(yeah, the cool links in my old sig died. :( A few nerdy newish projects are here. )

Look at Star Trek's fandom.

It has been canceled for almost 3 years now and people still dress up like Kirk.

Code Lyoko is one of my favorite shows ever. It brings me so much nostalgia to think about seasons one and two, and the good times associated with them. I will never tire of Code: Lyoko as long as I live. (Unless I get amnesia or something, like Ulrich did... in Season ONE! :3)

I don't watch the series too often anymore, but it's been such a big part of my life for the past few years (which is very, very awkward to say) that I don't think I'll forget it too fast. I still have eleventy zillion fanfic ideas to write, after all. XDD

I'll always love CL, even if some people(my mom , for instance) tell me I'm too old for that ;D . I usually watch 2 or 3 episodes on weekends. Of course , sometimes I have enough of episodes, but sometimes a little break is necessary , so I still love watching them. But even if I won't be alble to watch episodes any longer , there still remain awesome forums , YT , FF.net , deviantArt... in short , all people who keep on showing the world of Code Lyoko in new forms.
In my case , it'll last long. Even if nothing new is released.(Of course , I believe something will.)

I am not the hardcore fan I used to be when the show started, but after a hard day of doing work, it is nice to sit back in my chair and play a favorite episode on my computer. I can never really see me disliking it, but I won't obsess over it.

If the movies come out, then I will watch and enjoy them. If they don't, oh well...I still got the episodes to enjoy. So it is not too much of a change.

Would I like a season 5? YEAH! But if it doesn't come, I'll do the same as one line above.
Fictional Conversation after the Episode "Routine:

Ulrich - "You couldn't wait, could you?"
Jeremy - "What are you talking about?"
*Ulrich grabs and lifts Jeremy by his collar.
Ulrich - "I was this close to tasting her porcelain lips. We weren't in any danger, but noooo! You had to return to the past anyway!"
*Jeremy sniffles as Aelita appears on screen and rolls her eyes
Aelita - Ulrich, put him down.

If Speed Racer, Spiderman and Power rangers has taught us anything, it's that awesome shows never die. There will always be fans, either through parents introducing their kids to them or the kids finding out and loving them as we did. So yes, I'm gonna be one of those fans who share them with the future generation for sure. :D

I was jus about to mention that; I recall a convention when I dressed up as a borg drone, but that's a story for another day...
I still find myself attached to the show, but at the time when I watched it, I thought there was nothing else like it. I used to think Star Trek was only for the worst nerds, when I started to give Star Trek a chance, stoped hating on it. :D

Like most of my fandoms (except the ones that run on and on and on forever and have kajillion episodes and have bat**** fans *cough*) I usually still like them no matter what, or how long :o Like I still like Tales of Symphonia. Even though I played it like 3 years ago and the fandom is pretty much nonexistant now. And lots of the stuff I read in middle school. So I'm pretty sure CL is gonna stick with me for a really, really long time. Especially my favorite favorite forever OTP forever is one from this show ;D YAY

I dunno. CL is Okay, but I'll remember it for a long time because it helped bridge the gap for me between "Sci-Fi," and "Soap Opera," without taking place in an unbelievable place. It really helped my writing style.

If it doesn't hurt you, you don't need to move on. People with very little to do will tell you that kind of thing all the time, but we know better. As long as it's not turning you into some kind of antisocial psycho freak, you never have to forget it. I'm 18 too, and it's certainly not interfering with my life as far as I can tell.

I can't remember how but all of a sudden I've been re-watching Code Lyoko like crazy for the past month. I even took the effort to put them on my iPod. Whenever I'm feeling down, I just put on some Code Lyoko and watch Odd entertain me.

It is kind of hard for me to stop liking shows for they are always fun to watch. I mean I don't watch them everyday, in fact it could be years before I watch an episode from a series I like. I still like Beast Wars and that came out like in what 1994? I even own VHS tapes of Galaxy Rangers I watched when I was really little. Like I said, hard for me to stop liking shows, end of story for me.
