The Code Lyoko DVD Project

After doing some careful thought, I've decided to go ahead and do this.

Do you have Code Lyoko Episodes on your computer? Are you itching to watch them on your tv? Well, here's your chance!

Before i get any farther, NO, I will not distribute my collection of episodes. Think about these words though: Torrents, Code Lyoko, Season 1-4.

For now, I'm going to be using DVD Styler for creating the disk. It's the only one i'm really good at. If anyone who can use this program wishes to help, I'll gladly accept it

I will though need some help in gathering pictures. I need 1 and only 1 picture to represent an episode. For those of you familiar with Avatar on Nickelodeon, here's some examples:

201 Avatar Day
202 Cave of two lovers
203 Return to Omashu

The picture needs to represent the episode. Please try to avoid as much as possible the last thing Xana does to the gang right before an RTTP. This is because if i don't say this, all we'll have is pictures of the gang dying, which isn't the best way to get people to watch a dvd.

If you wish to help, find an episode that their isn't a picture first, or improve on another shot. Then, use your favorite media player (i like vlc personally) to take the picture. DO NOT JUST TAKE A SCREEN SHOT AND PHOTOSHOP IT OUT! Find out how do do it in your player (FYI, you can't do it in WMP). Then upload it to imageshack and post the IMAGE, NOT the link. I'll choose the pictures that have good quality and represent the episode. For big contributors, you'll get a spot in the dvd credits.

For those of you still worrying about legal consequences, as long as you don't distribute the episodes, nothing will happen to you. Even if you do distribute them, the chances of getting caught are slim, but do exist (remember TL). Distribute at your own risk, but don't worry about posting pictures or helping make the dvd.

Another thing someone could help with is a encoder script for the episodes. If you don't know how to encode, i'll just show you the command line parameters you need, and you can work on how to batch encode someones collection. I could do this by myself but due to the time required to create it, it would be nice for someone to do it.

One last side note: When this is finished, your more than welcome to compile the whole thing into an iso file and host it. For those of you that find one, just know i didn't create it, and Lyokofreak holds no responsibility for any repercussions of downloading it. I don't want lyokofreak to become another victim of threats of legal action.

Ok, now that the project is open, please post pictures! NOTE: YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE THE EPISODES TO POST PICTURES! There are tons on http://codelyoko.fr/ (look under photos).

FYI, no tiny pictures. I want something that would fit in a dvd.

I think he's making something like a DVD cover, if I'm understanding the project correctly. I've seen hypothetical season DVD covers made by fans before...and sometimes they are better than the real thing, amusingly enough. ;

As Carth said though, that's the only reason this is being kept open. (Although that does beg the question if this belongs in Fanart or something instead). I would personally prefer that the information regarding the making of the DVD itself though, be removed. You can ask for help with the cover here (as we have some very talented photoshoppers and screengrabbers here ^_^ ), but we're not going to endorse the DVD itself for the reasons listed in previous posts.

It's not paranoia. We (mods and everyone else) don't want the fate of teklinks to befall this site.
