Missing weirdness about Aelita...

What is so special about Aelita that she can de-activate towers and nobody else can? It never ended up being the key to Lyoko... wouldn't Franz Hopper be able to de-activate towers, too?

Uh, for what its worth, I think it WAS the keys to Lyoko - we're working on the assumption that Franz's copy was stolen/copied by XANA, which is how XANA got 'tower priviledges' in the first place

An alternative explanation is that Franz set Aelita up as an Admin (to paraphrase forum mechanics) and since Jeremie doesn't have access to the supercomputer's higher-functions (he's basically a regular User who's become very savvy with the system), he can't make the other team-members Admins, otherwise anyone could do it

TB3 is probably right. XANA, for what it's worth, probably did steal Franz's keys.

Though didn't Franz activate or deactivate a tower before? I could have sworn he did (and no, not the XANA clone)

Ok my opinion in this is kinda mixed. I think that it could be either the keys to lyoko or TB3's explanation.

If its TB3's it would go something like this

Administrator: full control over lyoko, deactivate and activate towers, use sector 5's interface etc.

That would be XANA and franz

Advanced user: partial control, deactivate towers and can use the interface.

That would be XANA-William and Aelita

Desktop user: can activate towers, create digital avatars, virtulise and devirtulise people and what ever else jeremy does from the computer lab.

That would be any one at the control panel at the factory mainly Jeremy or aelita.

Standard user: Can go to lyoko, enter towers and fight.

That would be Yumi, Odd, Ulrich or white William (that's what i call him )

Remote user: can see whats on screen from a remote computer E.G Jeremy's dorm computer.

That would be any one using Jeremy's computer or laptop.


Now the Keys to lyoko thing in my opinion is that XANA copied Franz's and Aelita's keys and gave one copy to William when he destroyed lyoko, and Jeremy is to stupid to think of doing that for the others

And SL i don't think that Franz has ever deactivate a tower, i think that your thinking of the episode where Jeremy activated one, then XANA took control of it then Franz took control of it.

that might be it... but... gotta think... he has to have something pretty powerful if he can control a tower.

Plus, he made it. Knowing how something works is one of the greatest powers.

Yeah, but they never say 'what' an Annex program is, just like how they refer to their coding as 'DNA' even though there is nothing biological going on in Lyoko

Yes, ultimately XANA and Franz have an advantage over Jeremie in that both of them knew how to Jerry-Rig the system, one throuhg having designed it (Franz knows where ALL the back-doors are) and the other through experience

I could go into my theory that the towers are nodes, and they act as a giant cluster computer, but a thought about this topic just crossed my mind.

Remember the replicas of Lyoko. Remember the thing at the bottom of them where Jeremy had to crack a password to get into the replicas. What are the chances that when France Hopper built lyoko he put a very advance one of those on lyoko, and the “keys to lyokoâ€
