Offical CL Fourms, Down and out for good?

As of this morning on 10/25/10, the Official English CL forum had the same fate as the french fourm

It locked out.

IDK if its permanent, but just in case.

Just a warning to you guys, expect a lot of us to flock here.

Codelyoko.fr doesn't mention anything in the front page blog (although apparently CL is rebroadcasting on France 4), but their Forum is still up

Maybe they're getting ready for a huge revamp or something. But then again, what would I know?

I just checked it out myself; the forum itself is up, but the main index is closed to guests. Also, if you go into the English site through the home page, it's operating normally (albeit with extremely out of date info). And Codelyoko.fr hasn't updated since last month, so yeah.

Hmm... maybe this would be a good thing for our little forum. Pump some life into it (and spambots, wheee -_-).

Maybe it crashed, and this is their way of saying, go somewhere else.

The french forum is down too, by the way.

I've been E-mailing moonscoop both in US and in FR, but so far I haven't gotten any replies at all. If anyone can speak French, and is willing to give the French IT dept a call, I have the number PM me (or IM/FB me is better)...I just don't speak the language, so it would be pointless for me to call. I know that nothing has been deleted yet from the database, but even the admin has no way of actually accessing it. I'm not sure what could be causing the trouble either.
I'd give it another week or two, and if there is still no news then I'd say it's gone for good. At that point, I will endorse LF to anyone who asks me where another CL forum is.

Oh calm down perhaps they're having some sort of maintenance or other technical issues, the official forums are fairly big ones, so maybe they need it.

They possible stripped it because of it being a official created style

I guess they didnt want other people using the style

I was afraid people would see it as things getting worse. Nothing has changed. I just had the style reverted because I wanted admin to post that header about where to contact the staff. I figured there were probably a lot of members who didn't have any one else from the forum on FB or IM or LF, so they would have no clue. I wanted them to have a way to reach us (the staff) to find out what's going on.

Well, I don't think anyone's noticed, but the forum's skin is back to its original setting. Hopefully this means the forums will be back soon.

unfortunately, I can confirm that that is almost definitely not going to be the case. I got an E-mail from Bill Shultz at Kabillion telling me that they have 'regrettably' decided to shut down the forum.
Not to worry though, thanks to the hard work of a few of the mods an exact copy (minus the annoying bugs) has been recovered here:

Like I said, exact copy, so no need to re-register (unless you haven't logged on in over a year), all PMs, fanfics, RPs, etc are saved. Very lucky. So, spread the link

So far, it says the individual forums are locked, but that's probably due to change. But hey. At least you can view everything.

Does anyone actually care about those forums any more? At least here we have a community who can literally talk about whatever and semi-sane management (who won't upgrade to PHPbb3 </mod>). The CL forums over there have none of that, and the "resurrected" forums is mostly spam and holding hangout threads in announcements.

LF is one of last CL communities that people actually care about.
