If you remember what TB3 said, only Erynn has the access to do that. What's more, I can kind of see her point on why she wouldn't want to install them. Read again what she says:

Not only is it a hassle to download and install the programming but there are risks to the forum being glitched up and bogged down with other sorts of things. Seems to me, that it'd be trading in one problem (that we know how to handle) in exchange for a whole other bunch of problems that could erupt from the installation...and that we <u>wouldn't</u> know how to fix.

And then where would we be?

Well, I seriously don't want to brag or offend or anything, but what if you had the people capable of installing the mods flawlessly? Again, I mean no offense, and I have no intention to brag at all, but Tech Links is using numerous mods, and we're running along smoothly.

Yes, I understand your concerns toward problems that would affect LF if the mod installation was done wrong. But say if Tech Links' staff were to install the mod flawlessly, and the database would remain stable, would you allow that? I'm talking to TB3 about it, but this is merely a thought and suggestion. Because, we've been doing that for the whole time of TL.

Just wanna know what you think.

There'd still be the issue that we can't access the controls to add these sorts of things, though. As TB3 said earlier, only Eyrnn can and since she's the one paying for and supporting this forum...I definitely wouldn't want to push her towards something she feels hesitant about or finds unnecessary. ^^;

At any rate, there's other ways of preventing spambots from joining that we already have the access for. Add into that the hope that phpBB will eventually fix it's spambot glitch, and it's not so uncontrollable a problem...just occasionally frustrating (although deleting them kind of takes care of that). X)
