Shademan needs help!

Attention anyone who can help,

my friend Shademan V.39 has had his Lyoko Freak profile deleted! That, and if anyone goes to a place where they know he had a post, there's nothing there! All his posts have been deleted as well. Since he can't speak for himself in this matter (due to an inibility to post), I beg of anyone who can help him to do so. Please!

Yikes...the last time something like this happened was to TB3...and he had to just start over and create a new account. Perhaps though there is something that StarWay can do. I definitely hope he hasn't lost his account and post history.

Like Mew said, we'll have to wait until StarWay goes online here. TB3 suffered the same fate. Shademan will have to end up creating a new account with his same username... only Erynn can fix that... and I'm gonna PM Vchat2.0 and see if he could help on this....

If this situation is the same as it was last time, all his posts should be intact... I just can't quite remember how to get them to show up on the forum again. ;

He e-mailed me and said that it was deleted. And since all his posts are gone, I don't know how to get to them...

Then again, this is from the guy who crashed Word, so what do I know?

Yeah - this happened to me one time.

If this is the same occurance, then Shademan doesn't need to worry - it can be fixed, though he might have to 'start over anew' with his post-count. For example, I've made over 4500 posts since I joined LF, but the first 1000 don't appear in my profile or progress bar because of the deletion incident.

Really though I am curious where this problem stems from. I'm almost curious enough to go post about this on the phpbb forums.

Anywho, SW has already inquired my services for this issue and ive already fired off a couple pm's with what I assume is sufficient instructions to get Shademan's account back up and running. If not, SW is more than welcome to get back with me if it doesnt work out as planned.

But yeah, I wouldnt worry too much about it. Just an annoying, but small glitch.

Actually, in the PM I received from SW, she already located his id and I have confirmed it to be 'missing' as it were. It is now all in SW's hands to get things back in order (wow, just tossed a load of weight on your shoulders there, eh? ).

Now it says he has 0 posts, but if you click on his search post, you'll find all his posts and that means the forum is restored. He's going to create himself a new account with the same username, if I remember correctly to get him merged with all his posts on the search post thing... don't know how that worked with TB3, though.

Actually, he doesn't need to re-create his account... And I'm working on restoring his postcount now.

I'm not sure what causes this kind of problem (the forum eating a post or two after a timeout between the database and the forum is one thing... an entire user is just bizarre), but I'll ask around and see if I can get any info.

As for this particular matter, things have been resolved (thanks, once again to Vchat2.0 and his SQL skills). I guess that's really all we can do to combat this problem... just play it by ear and fix problems when they arise. I apologize for the inconvenience, though, and also for choosing phpBB as my forum software, when another company would likely have been a better choice. xD;

Yeah, but back to Vchat... I already thanked him via PM, but I'd like to do so publicly as well. So, thank you Vchat, you really do know how to save the day!

Well, since I'm back...I guess this thread doesn't have a point anymore, huh? It sure doesn't seem that way...nope, uh-uh, not at all, no way jose. It makes me kind of sad ...Eh, not really.
