I heard about this a few months ago, but apparently it's real. Warner Bros is making a Death Note film and it came out today in Japan. I think it's coming to the states, but I dunno.

If they dub it, I will cry.

You used to be able to find scans everywhere, but that was quite a few months ago, so I dunno if you'd be able to now.

Haha. Well, the plot for the Death Note manga is pretty morbid and scary in itself. I doubt it'll be a big seller, at least beyond the mobs of obsessed fans.

I coulda bought the next four at Borders if I'd had the money... but of course not, since that's like twenty bucks right there. ><

I do wanna see the movie, though, 'cause it looks like they got a really good dude to play the detective dude (I keep thinking his name is K- is that it? haven't read them in ages). I'm a little apprehensive about the shinigami, though. You know, weird Japanese special effects.

I havn't seen any trailers for it because I havnt looked very hard at all but do you think it will be a horror flim? Because the manga is supposed to be a suspence.

Click around on the site, they have a picture of the Shinigami somewhere. It looks EXACTLY how it does in the manga, just CGI.

well..for those who have read the manga already, then they already know, and for those who havent read it, it will just be another part of the movie...but I see your point.
