Anyone going? xDD;

If you're wondering, it's the largest anime con over here on the east coast. It's in Baltimore, MD and at the Baltimore convention center. This year it'll be August 4~6.

It's really fun, despite it being a large con (I usually like smaller ones better). :3 I dunno I enjoyed it last year... Although the downside is that since it's gotten so big, they cap the attendance. At the moment, there are exactly 20255 registration spot thingies left. >>; Another downside is that it's expensive, and even more expensive if you register at the door :/

But they've got an awesome dealers' room.

So I was just wondering yanno... cause summer is soon and that means I can start planning for Ota soon >D

I just got done going to a small little convention known as Tora-con. But yeah, I've been wanting to go to Otakon since last year.

Some time by the near end of this month I should have my driver's license, so then all I would need is my mom's decision (since my dad would let my borrow his car) and I could go.

I know the creator of MegaTokyo will be there (Fred Gallagher (sp?)). So that's one big reason why I want to go.

As for money, I know Im going to want to spend a lot (considering I spent $150 at tora-con), so I need to get a job reeeeeeally fast to raise money (plus my friend mark wants to go as well). Its going to be cutting it close, but I might just be able to go.

Another Otakon going to pass... I've always wanted to go to one. >.< Or a convention at least. Watching my mom running around like a kid in a candy store at the arts and crafts convention is NOT fun.
