Let's talk about music.

I know that there is already a thread about what music you're listening to, but this is different.

You kids should tell me what artists or bands you just LOVE.

I'll start off with some of mine.

I'm an FBRwhore [it's just a term, I don't think it's a bad word.]
So I like pretty much every band on that label.
The Academy Is...
Cobra Starship [Gabe Saporta is my Guilty Pleasure =D]
Panic(!) At The Disco
The Hush Sound
Fall Out Boy
Paramore
Gym Class Heroes

I also like great bands like Genesis, Midtown [they aren't together, but it was formed by Gabe Saporta (now in Cobra Starship) and Tyler Rann (who is now in a band called Senses Fail) between the years 1998 and 2004] I also like Motion City Soundtrack, The Rocket Summer, Ben Folds, The Who, Relient K, Justin Timberlake, Maroon 5, Journey.

I'll stop now.

So now it's your turn to share your favorite music tastes, bands, artists, songs, albums, lyrics, band members that you're obsessed with, or just like.

It's also welcome to share bands that you don't particularly like, songs that annoy you, band members that you can't stand.

GO!
¿Qué es poesía?, dices mientras clavas
En mi pupila tu pupila azul.

¡Qué es poesía! ¿Y tú me lo preguntas?
Poesía eres tú.

:D Awesome.

Well, my favorite band in the entire universe would have to be Muse. HANDS DOWN. I don't know what I'd do without their music. It relaxes me, calms me down, inspires me, pumps me up. XD I absolutely love them.

Second would have to be a tie between Hoobastank and Backstreet Boys. Hoobastank because ALL of their songs are completely awesome. They have no "filler songs." It's like every single one of them is made to perfection. And Backstreet Boys because I've always been a BSB fan. ;D Ever since the first CD. And I've loved them ever since.

Other music groups and/or people I loooove would be Avenged Sevenfold, All American Rejects, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, almost anything classical and so on. :] Ah and soundtracks for animes are definitely awesome to listen to. So I recommend the OST for Wolf's Rain, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles and Kingdom Hearts. All have GORGEOUS soundtracks and are great listening...

Hmm. I listen to lots of kinds of music, but that's only because I listen to the radio as my main source of music. I don't have very many specific favorite bands, but here are some that I do enjoy:

Breaking Benjamin
Fall Out Boy
All-American Rejects
Panic! At the Disco
Linkin Park
Boys Like Girls
Play Radio Play!
Avril Lavigne
Cascada
Alanis Morissette

Huh. More than I thought. As for genres, I usually describe myself as liking alternative rock, pop and techno. I love anything with a strong rhythm, anything fast paced with a good beat. Anything you might hear at a rave, although I've never ever raved in my life. As for music I don't like, I'm not a fan of country or opera, of metal, rock and roll or hardcore-scream-your-lungs-out-with-makeup-on-your-face-rock, or R&B. However, I've been known to make exceptions.

And I really, really don't like ICP. Detroit goes from the birthplace and home of Motown Sound to... them. Thanks, Metropolitan Detroit. Eminem's OK though.

EDIT: Oh, and I cannot forget the best video game music ever, Martin O'Donnell and the Halo Soundtrack. (And Halos 2 and 3 soundtracks). Pure awesomeness.

Agh, I totally forgot about those two. Also really really good bands. ^^ I like your taste in music. You've got some good bands up there that I totally did not mention. XD

CDs and books are my two main purchasing vices in life. I won a couple hundred CDs. I like almost anything on the rock spectrum and much stuff beyond, though I'm very partial to British indie bands. My favorite bands of the moment are:

- Brand New
- Damien Rice
- Fair to Midland
- the Mars Volta
- Flee the Seen
- Bloc Party
- Editors
- Muse
- Greenwheel
- Vedera
- Lacuna Coil
- Asian Kung-Fu Genration
- the Pillows

The point is, I could go on and on with any number of bands and why I like them, but I simply don't have the time. As you've noticed, you may not recognize some of the bands. Most of them aren't evn US bands, and those that are are likely KC-area bands.

Ah, YOUUUUUUUU hate Soulja Boy too? "Crank That" or whatever is practically my school's anthem, the people play it so much. And everyone knows the little dance that goes with it. I used to, but... I am simply too white. It won't work for me.

I hate locking active threads, but you did link to the other thread with the similar purpose, so I have no choice. Locking. Please use the thread linked in the post.

EDIT Carth, you beat me to it!
