Saw both movies which are masterpieces. The movies are more of making you think about humanity and machines in particular while the show is more solving cases. The movies can have you debating for hours on end. And the Major Motoko Kusanagi is so hot *_* .

Oh my god, I love GitS. I was so mad when they took Stand Alone Complex off of Adult Swim's lineup...

I adore this show's theme song and intro. It has truly beautiful CGI animation! :)
"Hey, make up your mind. Am I a genius or a creep?"
"You're a creepy genius."

only saw the first one, saddly...it is truly a masterpiece and for those that do not know, it's considered to be an member of the crew of Cyberpunk Animes..among which are Akira (obviously) and Wolf's Rain (not sure bout this last one though)

Both Ghost In The Shell movies were directed by one of my favorite Japanese directors Mamoru Oshii who has also directed most of Patlabor. And speaking of Akira, its creator/director Katsuhiro Otomo also directed Steamboy. Havent seen that one though I hope to one day.
