Bored?

Postby ODDCHEEZY » Thu Dec 17, 2009 6:11 pm

Okay guys, we all have those mommts in our lives where we get so bored that we wish someone would come along with a gun and make it a quicky. Finding ways to cure this insane disease is next to impossible at the time. Sooooooooooooo on this? Post ideas for the cure. Here are some:

-rabbit hunting or "wabbit" as we folks here in my house afectionatly pronounce it.
-read a book (sounds lame but there are sooo many possibilities when you open the front cover an actually READ all the way through. Not the 1st 3 pages)
-plan total world domination. I've done this many times in my math class....
-cook up a storm in your kitchen...this is also good for depression but that might have to be another thread....
-teach your little brother how to sing. Lord knows he needs it

Please! Finding the cure for bordomitis is imparitive! Help others out there by submitting your home/school/funeral remedies. Wear polkadotted ribbons to show your support of the cause.

And yes, I was bored when I came up with this idea.... :nyeh!:
Chuck E. exploits pictures of children having seizures in front of other kids...O_o Go Matt Langston!

I'm not sure how well this might work for others, but I find if I do something pretty much akin to meditation - sitting cross-legged or however's comfortable and just emptying your mnd and listening really carefully to the sounds around you. Works best in silence/quiet.
For those a bit more down-to-earth/realistic/restless, I concur with cooking. Preferably something with lots of preparation. Like potato salad.

I just simply don't have the patience to meditate.

One of my many faults.

I have to be doing something. Yet I always procrastinate.

Oh is it these flaws that make the human mind great? Who knows.

Not wanting to do something, even if it means you have nothing else to do....I don't think that's one of the flaws that make the human mind great. Or, at least, not in that context. But it is most certainly a human characteristic. (Or is? Hmmm. Anybody have any data on animal behaviour regarding procrastination?)

My pedantry knows no bounds.
