I felt like creating a topic that isn't serious, won't get me banned, and doesn't involve relatives.


Am I the only one here who plays Kingdom Hearts? I hated the first one, and I refuse to play it because of the awful camera. I play KHII, if only for the awesome music (check the Crowning Music of Awesome page on TV Tropes for some examples).

When I first got the game, I was scared it would suck just because Disney mixed with moogles sounded like too much anthromorphic-ness. I was surprised on how it wasn't half bad. Then, I got to Monstro. Platforming. With a crappy camera control system. AGH.

So, I recently got KHII. I was pleasantly surprised on how awesome it was. The camera is sixty bajillion degrees better than the first game, and the graphics were a bit better. I beat this one on both easy and normal, and as soon as I find my memory card, I'll try Proud mode.

I like the games. Found them pretty fun considering I'm anti-Disney.

The first game had a good difficulty and the second has good storyline and music. What I like the most though is the battle system. It's an RPG but not one of those turn-based ones, which is a nice change.

... I hate the majority female fanbase though.

They opened the level, gave me a wooden sword, sorrounded me with swarming enemies... AND THE FREAKING WOODEN SWORD IS USELESS! Why the hell is it okay for me to be beating little kids to death with it? How is it a blade when the key is clearly a blunt object? Why isn't sora sad that his home planet and his parants are DEAD? Why are two teenagers fighting over the affections of a 8 year old? Oh sure they say shes 12, but look at her, shes definatly 8.

I'm all for the idea of a giant threat bring worlds together to battle it, but I aint much a disney or final fantasy fan (is any characters from 9 in this? Zidane?). Maybe if they did like Mario one level, then next level we go Metal Gear, then Halo, then WWE blah blah blah.

When I first heard about this game, I was elated; but later, I found out that you could only kill characters listed as "Bad Guys," and that list does not include Winnie the Pooh or Mickey Mouse.

They should do that- give you the option of going completely evil and siding with the Heartless, just for the satisfaction of siding with Jafar and Hades. Now THOSE guys knew what was goin' on!

But anyway, I started reading the Kingdom Hearts Manga, and it's okay. A bit kiddie, and a bit too heavy-handed on the whole "Hearts and philosophy" stuff.

KH1 was the ultimate for me. I disliked KH2 a bit, but it made a great sequel.

CoM was fun too might I add. Still play it sometimes when bored.

I love Kingdom Hearts!
Not as much as X-Men, Code Lyoko or Final Fantasy, but still nevertheless awesome!

It came out when I was in 2nd grade, I think. And I bought the first game for the Disney characters. Now, I play it because of Final Fantasy and the storyline. KH2 was awesome, but it was a bit easier than the first. Even Sephiroth was easy. CoM was a great way to kill time on long roadtrips. I need to find my cartridge though...

Anyway, did you guys know Re.COM is coming to the U.S. It's Chains of Memories for the PS2. Voice Acting! But how are they going to pull of Sora if you know what I mean. Plus, Brittany Snow isn't voicing Namine anymore.
I think she got replaced my Mehgan Jette Martin. She played Tess in "Camp Rock" I think. But yeah, that's kinda going to suck. Brittany Snow was a good Namine.

Why did I just see this now? Stupid computer...

1. At first it is, but when you get more leveled up in the future it's not.

2. It's more like those kids with those seven dollar lightsabers "dueling" than anything else. (those lucky, lucky children.)

3. It's on a hilt, which, by Square-enix's logic, makes it a blade.

5. She's just not as...mature...as most anime girls. If this is such an issue for you, go play the sequel.

I never played Kingdom Hearts, and more than likely never will. It doesn't look appealing to one such as myself.

I haven't bought Re:COM yet, but I've been watching the cutscenes over YouTube. And there's one thing that I am 100% sure I hate.

THE VOICE ACTING!

Rawr, I hated the voice acting for some characters. Not all, just some!
For example, Kairi and Namine.

Guess who's playing them in this game? Nope, not Hayden Panettiere or Brittany Snow.
It's those two idiots from Camp Rock, Alyson Stoner and Mehgan Martin. In my opinion, they did terrible.
And the dude voicing Zexion was from one of the Cheetah Girl movies...
WHAT IS SQUARE-ENIX DOING LETTING DISNEY TAKE OVER THEIR COMPANY?!

KH should have real "Disney" involved. Not the entire Disney franchise!!!
Disney actors can't act to save their life! Except for Jesse who did a great job on Roxas though.

I bet you guys when Birth By Sleep comes out, Ven and Terra are going to be played by two of the Jonas Brothers.
And if there's a Kingdom Hearts 3, they're going to replace Haley Joel Osment with Zac Efron and Atlantica will be replaced with a Hannah Montana world.

To be honest, I think CoM's storyline was better than KH2's. It's much deeper.

I mean seriously, "Without your memories, are you still you?". Can't really get deeper than that.

SPOILERS: [highlight to view]

-Braig gets his infamous eyepatch and facial scar from Terra stabbing him in the face with a keyblade.
-Apparently, Erauqs dies.
-Sora, Riku, and Kairi are seen in the secret ending talking, and it looks to be the cliffhanger to KH3.

As for the main characters fates:
-Terra: Fuses with Master Xehanort, Only able to remember the name "Xehanort", and he's the Xehanort we know form earlier games.
-Ventus: His heart finds its way to Sora, and he fuses with him, explaining why Roxas looks like Ven.
-Aqua: She survives completely, but is trapped in the Dark Realm with Ansem the Wise, who is wearing an XIII coat. It's similar to the area where Sora and Riku were at the end of KH2.


The "somebodies" of Saix, Axel, Xaldin, Lexaeus, Vexen, Zexion, and Xigbar all have roles. Sadly, we have yet to see those of Larxene, Marluxia, Demyx, and Luxord.

Also, the only FF character is Zack, who appears in Olympus Colliseum.
