Any weird stuff happening in your part of the world? Post it here.

There was an increase in attempted escapes from school in good ol' Wichita. Heck, one kid at my school just ran out the doors today!

The LHS principle just won US Principle of the year
A group of kids behind the same high school got drunk, smoked Marajuana and one girl, 14, who was my friend last year, passed out with a BAC of .389. For an ADULT the deadly limit's .4. A friend tried to call for help, but there's a MAJOR dead zone around the schools, and she had to run off, a mile and a half away to get help. The only thing that kept hr alive was the snowbank she was in, which slowed the absorbtion of alcohol. She's in rehab now, and they're putting up a new cell tower. And the HSRZ decided to move the unknown Drug and alcohol spot closer.

And the principe still got to keep the reward.

I could tell you all why a Neillsvillian was famous enough to make the "Weirdest Happenings of 2005" list on Yahoo, but I'll keep my mouth shut, since it's rather BKO.

Numbah 7 forgot to mention that her lovely state also has that circa-1925 evolution debate going on still.

Missouri's no better, though. A lot of our laws seem to be coming from elementary school kid's ideas through the D.A.R.E. program. The latest to be sent to the state house? A law requiring convinience stores and gas stations to sell beer at room tempurature to reduce the number of drunk driving accidents. Businesses are in an uproar over the possible loss of sales.

It's all very scientifical. |D

That sounds interesting. I tried to find it on Yahoo, but I couldn't. angry9:

I live in Ohio too. We're building a new bridge across the river in Toledo. (It's taking forever.) Our new Westfield mall was completed last summer. We got our first Wal-Mart and Lowes a year ago. (Closest one used to be 20 miles away.) It's sort of strange we're just getting all of these things here now because we've had at least 8 large corperations based here for 20 years or more. But at least it makes things more interesting around here now.
