Err, classes? Well, the only one I'm doing like really bad in (I.. think...) is Biology because I'm an idiotface who spends too much time on the internet rather than remembering to do the homework (I have it 1st Period so it's kinda hard to remember sometimes, even though I write it in my planner xD)

Uhh..

1. Bio- Yeah, just talked about it, I think I have a D. Or maybe an F. It varies upon my last grade.
2. World Studies- I have a C.. my teacher's a retard. I mean seriously, I got three points off like three assignments, and I have a freaking C! You think -you- have a hard grading scale?! I have to get some sheet thing signed and my parents will NOT be happy.
3. English- A! Yayyyy! *does a dance*
4. Lifetime Fitness.. buh. I hate gym class. But right now it's kinda like Health cuz we're just sitting in the classroom. I have an A though (I always do really good in gym even though I hate it, because I "participate" xD)
5. ¿Español? I have a... B. Or A. Can't remember which.
6. Fine Art. A. Duh. (I'm taking 2D Art studio next year! Then I'll take Advanced Drawing, and I'm hoping to get into AP Art. Because it pwns your mother.)
7. CP Algebra. Uhh... I think I'm doing okay-ish right now (maybe) but sometiems my grades are kinda bad in that class.. >.>

w00t! :D

Im in the 9th grade, here are/were my grades

1st term:

Algebra: around a C. My first algebra couldn't teach, my other algebra teacher was great!
Social Studies: B+. My teacher rocked! It could be because she is the cheerleading coach.... still great though.
Regular 9th grade english: B's and C+'s. She was the nicest of them all, to bad my class didnt know the words "be quiet", or "behave".
Marching band: Greatest. Band. Director. Ever. All A's.

3rd term (dont ask, it said third term my schedule, without the 2nd term :umm: )

Art: Awsome art teacher. A+ for her class
Gormet Foods: My teacher needs a microphone. B+ for not finishing my work on time.
Science: Great teacher. Bad students. My class NEVER shuts up. A- for now.
Concert Band: My band director is a lot more calmer now that marching season's over. NO SCORES POSTED FOR THIS CLASS. Quote my report card.

Honestly, I'm one of those lackluster kids who never do anything, but are accully smart.

Grades:

Reading: Very low
English: Low

I'm passing the seventh grade with... 'flying colors,' if that's the correct term for it.

Lit. Language - A+ 100.0 flat.
English/Reading - A+ 98.2
Math - A 94.1
History - B+ 92.4
Science - B+ 92.7
Art - A+ 100.0 flat.
Physical Education - A 95.5 (I didn't dress out one day out of the third nine weeks.)

I think somebody's been switching grades with me or something. I don't think of myself as a very smart person.
Bang, baby.

Everyone calls me the smart person. I'm not actually the smartest person, ever. All the people who get average grades make fun of me when they get better grades than me. Now my mom thinks my grades are completely getting lower just because I got a 71 on a science test. Then my dad gets mad if I get anything lower than a 94. Then if I get in the 80s on an assignment they either take away my keyboard or my ipod, which is really annoying. Then they hide them in obscure places. And my dad is still missing my Gameboy when he hid it about a year ago and he still hasn't found it. Sorry, kinda got off topic a bit.
Don't worry, I'm an expert.

I'm in all the "advanced" classes at my school, and lucky for me they all have totally easy grading scales. 90-100 is a A,
80-89 is a B, and so forth. I think my highest grades are in either geometry or science, because I did all the extra credit. But you know what's really sad? My lowest grade is in band. Band. (I have an A-) I actually really like school, my teachers are so awesome. I just wish there wasn't so much *drama*! It drives me nuts. One of my friends got into a fight with another girl because my friend bought a bag of cookies and then decided she didn't want them so she gave them to this boy and then the other girl got mad because she always buys that kid cookies. It was really stupid. Counselors had to be brought in and the whole works. Anyway, sorry for rambling

11th grade... ahhh well, I started the first two quarters awsome like. B and As and all that stuff... This quater I think I'm probbly just gonna get by. I screwed my self up earlier this quater because I got all depressed and sad over some chick that didn't liked me. Failed a few test and stopped doing homework.

I'll probbly rebound now. If I fail no problem, I got a whole 'nother quater to shape this up. Just take my advice and don't let your personal feelings get tied up with your school work.

...And take out your emotions in Gym class. I freaking love Gym ^.^

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I have a discussion to start here.

What's your opinion on the standardized testing? I know most people are taking them around now. :homework:
thank you all for the good memories <3

I think standardized testing is fine... Much, much easier than any actual test our teacher gives us, most likely because of the multiple choice factor. Except a bio one for me would be harder... 10 wouldn't be C! D:

Essays should like... die. Even though I can do them pretty well (I only ever failed one because I forgot to cite my quotes... whoops.), they're just a pain to write. And my hand falls off and then I have to chase it around the school.

Yep. My two cents.

The only good thing about standardized tests is that teachers aren't allowed to give us homework on the days before and during tests, even if we aren't testing in those classes. I really hate the responding to reading tests, we had to do this one extended response about sleeping positions and sleep walking and just a bunch of stuff about sleep, and it was really stupid. And then, of course, all day everybody had to go around making lame jokes about how they almost fall asleep writing about sleep.

Outstanding! I brought my History F up to an A-!

But the cumulative grade is a D-, two Fs and an A got me there.

To be honest i think grades dont mean 5817 unless its for something important, like deciding what universities you can get into...

I passed all my classes with straight A's. As for standardized testing, I love it! :D It lets us skip classes for a whole 2 hours and 15 minutes for a week while we fill in the little bubbles and write extended responses! Yay! Plus, those are some of the easiest tests I have taken so far.

That's why it matters so much when you get to high school. Colleges look at your grades transcripts and stuff when you apply. That also goes for exchange programs; you need a certain GPA to be eligible... Yep, I know that 'cause I'm going to Japan through an exchange program... Hooty hoo...

As for college grades uhh... I think some grades are important to get certain jobs, but I'm not exactly sure... >>;
