Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

I'm surprised it took this long to make the second movie. .__.

So, your thoughts?

I kinda liked the first movie...besides all the corny junk, even if it is a kids' movie. "For Narnia!"?

Anyway, I'm kinda looking forward to this movie. Don't know if you guys are. (Probably not, but oh well.)

Well, you can always catch it another weekend. I rarely get to see movies their opening night.

But maybe I can catch this one... May 16 = after A.P. Tests, so school should be a little lighter.

Oh, lawdy, AP tests. I have my first ever this year... May 19th or something. It's for AP US History. Oh joy.

Back on topic, this movie does sound exciting. I liked the first one. It kinda makes me want to read the books...

Another Narnia movie?
I hated the books and the first movie.

My brother Christian is sure going to be happy after hearing this,
He loves the Narnia series.
My real name is Johnathan Ulrich Gino Dela-Cruz
But call me Gino for short :D
I'm 17!

@gino: Ah well, I figured there would be at least a few people that hate it. Some of my friends dislike it.

@Lyoko422: ...yeah, you should probably read the books. :P

I have to say that the first movie was much more true to the book than the recent Harry Potter movies were. :arg:

Yes, the books are worth reading. (In the original order! It's more fun that way.)

I should note that PC is my least favorite of the books. Still good, but it fell flatter than the others for me.

Eh, my least Favorite was A Horse and His Boy.

To me, it was quite dreary and dull.

For sure. Gah. >.<

Anyway, PC is supposed to have some sort of darker theme, including the Pevensies feeling guilty for what Narnia's become.

This should be interesting.

Also, they're using a lot more effects for the movie. And when I say a lot more, I mean a lot more.

Prince Caspian is one of my favorite books. Has anyone noticed how the Chronicles of Narnia and the Bible have many connections and themes that are very similar??

Yeah. The whole series is an allegory, and its message is more coherent than ANOTHER allegory; Lord of The Rings.

Yeah Lord of the Rings is a darker allagory though. The Chronicles of Narnia has more similarities...

Aslan is definitely God in the series. But C.S. Lewis was an athiest...before he changed.

As a matter of fact, he came to the Lord on the back of a motorcycle.

Aslan is not god, he represents Jesus in the books, the chapter of the stone table is a parallel to the crusifiction. Also The Emperor Over the Sea represents God. The betrayl of Edmond represents the betrayl of Jesus. I wrote a whole paper on it in school.

Okay. :)

By the way...does the Emperor Over the Sea ever show himself? I don't remember him being "shown" in the series at all.

I don't think so...unless I've skipped a chapter or eight (which I don't do after at least the 40th time reading a book.)
