You shouldn't have put those up like that. Just having them as they regularly are is good enough. It's sometimes a little difficult to read things when they scroll by like that. And how long they would be, just put them as links. It's what I saw someone do on an Azumanga LJ community. It worked a lot better than this.

Also, the first one is almost the same as the scene in the anime, it's better to post the ones in the manga that were different than the ones in the anime. At least, that's what I'd do...

I linked them.

For the sake of this topic, there's a BKO word I could use to sum up Azumanga Daioh. It's at Games.

I saw the Waka Laka song with the AD images on it. That crossed the line for me, plus DB's siggie and some images of Yukari that indicated that AD seems pretty childish and retarded, really. It's okay to like it if you're 5 years old, but... *wordless*

No! I mean the ones that I posted... And if you don't like the show, then you don't have to post.
And it's a bit more of a girl anime, like the kind you show at slumber parties where girls can laugh about them and not be annoyed or embarassed by boys.

I can promise you I won't post on this thread anymore, unless it is for telling people to stop fighting on it or to lock the thread (as if it reaches 1000 posts or a huge fight erupts) or if I get to like it, which might not happen.

AngelBolt wrote:And if you don't like the show, then you don't have to post.

That doesn't stop people from telling their opinions about a show, there's free speech for that. I'm not gonna go all DB style and complain like an atheist about religion (sorry if I'm using you as a reference, DB).

AngelBolt wrote:And it's a bit more of a girl anime, like the kind you show at slumber parties where girls can laugh about them and not be annoyed or embarassed by boys.

Thanks for saying that. I think I sorta got that concept from looking at it a few seconds.

KK! And I'm ot forcing you to like it, I just don't want you to flame. But the main reason I love it is to make absolute fun of it.

That, and Im a teen girl with very close friends and when on a rare occasion we have slepovers, I'm in charge of movies, and I ren the AMD dvd's. I'm gonna buy the set for an end of the yar present.

I'd like to personally thank Darkborn. If it weren't for his avatars and signatures of this series, I wouldn't have looked into this.

I love this series. I saw the first episode around the middle of May after I saw so many of DB's avatars and signatures. I thought it was an okay series, but I didn't feel like I really wanted to bother watching the rest of the episodes on Youtube, so I stopped. A couple weeks later, I started thinking about this more and more, so I sat down and watched the rest of the series (which resulted in me studying less on my final exams, D:). After I finished watching the series and re-watched them all summer long, I realized what a pain in the @$$ is was to have to wait for each episode to finish loading on Youtube, and I also wanted to watch the dub since I found the dub very tolerable. I bought the DVDs in early November and watched the entire thing dubbed (it was a good thing also, because there were some things that had Japanese culture in it the fansubs explained, but not the dub). After I finished watching the dub I went to a bookstore and bought volumes two, three, and four, of the manga. I still have yet to read the first volume of the manga.

AMVs. YouTube links. (You can also find them at AMV.org)

The AMV no Baka series: (note: AMV no Baka 1 and 2 do not focus entirely on Azumanga Daioh, like how AMV no Baka ½ does, but they play big roles in them)

AMV no Baka 2 (I LOVED the beginning of this video!)

Actually, according to Wikipedia, it was put in a seinen (a manga magazine aimed at males from ages 18-30) manga magazine when it was first released in Japan.

AZU HATH RETURNED TO US!

Bwahahaha, the monster of my creation shalt rise up and consume LF. :D

Lol, in all fairness, I've finally now seen the entire series on DVD, and it was really worth it - the final two episodes were so moving I wanted to reach through the screen and hug all the girls, but I settled for hugging my teddybear instead for the whole time.

And Knifeshock, awesome finds - "WE'RE ALL LIVING IN AMERIKA! COCA-COLA, WONDERBRA!" lol :P

Yep, it was Carth who posted a link to it in BKO once. Right after she posted a link to Azumanga DIE-OH.

But how could I forget this!? The apple switch parody featuring Osaka! What's funny is that unlike most people who absolutely detest and had no idea that Osaka's voice was southern, someone on that video commented, asking what accent the dub used to make it seem like she was from Osaka.

ROFL at Lightsaber Osaka! She killed Chiyo-chan! xD:

Korean dub. Never heard that before. I think I heard the Korean opening like... somewhere on YouTube like... once. *shrugs*

I remember on a forum for the series someone said that someone should make a Star wars trilogy thing like the LotR trilogy trailers.

I love Azumanga and all, but sriously, when are Yotsuba's (by Kiyohiko Azuma) American distributors going to get off their butts and release more volumes of the manga? And are they ever going to animate Yotsuba, 'cause that would rock.
