There's three volumes of Yotsuba out in the U.S., but there's twice as many in Japan. You can find the fan translations online, but personally I have been avoiding them so I don't spoil myself.

Actually, it's spelled, " ありがとう", "ar | i | ga | to" is how it's pronounced. The "o" is pronounced "oh", so if anything, "arigatoh" is most correct.

*butts in* Arigatou would be the exact romanization. The u is put after any o syllable to extend its sound. Although many people romanize it different ways, like arigatou, arigatoo, arigatoh... it depends on your taste.

The reason I spelled it how I did is because the joke refers to the Styx song "Mr. Roboto," which had a line in the lyrics that became very popular. In all references to the song's lyrics, the line is spelled "Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto."

So for all intents and purposes of the joke being made, the spelling is justified, IMO.

Beside, I don't think the Japanese language was meant to be Romanized anyway.
