My mom read about this on a Chinese news website called Wenxue City a while ago. The tone I heard on that other website is a sine wave at precisely 14,700 hertz. Adults (including my mom) can't hear this; they even did an experiment on it.

I myself can hear up to 21,000 Hz, which is considered ultrasound.

Well, no. I can *hear* the sound but just barely. I can hear the beginning, a bit of the middle, and the end. I *might* be able to hear even higher sounds, but Audacity decided that it didn't want to generate any tone higher than 21KHz.

I reccomend Audacity, a freeware program used to edit audio, and mmake your own mp3's. I genorated a tone at 19.5 khz, it's what highest for me.

I tried it on some of my friends, one could hear it (14) and the other couldn't (also 14). I figure it has to do with kids playing music really loud.
