Digimon was a rip-off of Pokemon, and I personally think it did better.

Now, I'm not gonna say that MBC is better than CL; CL holds too many memories through this forum, through fanfiction, and other means for it to be less than MBC. CL helped me grow up.

MBC is a good show in its own way. Yes, there are parts that seem to parody CL, but honestly, if you watch it with an open mind, it's not half bad. I likeit, personally.

And inadditon, Digimon's anime had a MUCH stronger plot then Pokemon ever did. Digimon had grand battles of Good vs Evil. Pokemon just shills sh*t for kids to buy up.

I have to agree there. Digimon had a sttyle of epic-osityness that Pokemon just lacks...WHY WON'T YOU DIE, YOU ZOMBIE ANIME?! WHAIII?!

But I remember there was another show, I believe it was on Jetix, about this group of kids who went into this virtual universe to fight monsters and solve puzzles and had to go through this old factory thing... It was kind of like CL meets Power Rangers. Except not good.

Sorry I keep posting on my own thread so much, but I watched the show yesterday (to gather information on the enemy, of course) and realized something that simply must be said. Notice how the kids on the show operate. The Monster Buster Club hunts and fights aliens that come to Earth. However, the kid that started the whole operation, Cathy, is an alien herself, and everyone (well, the main kids anyway) know this. However, she still supports the destruction of other aliens on Earth that are different from her, which are all labeled "monsters" apparently, all in the name of protecting the most common intelligent species on Earth, humans. All of this is seen as a good thing. Thus, I conclude the inevitable:

Cathy is a racial supremacist and the MBC is the interplanetary equivalent of the Klan.

They don't kill aliens you pillock, they just capture them.

And someone needs to tell Cathy she's got the wrong power set. I keep thinking she ought to be Invisible Woman, not Mr Fantastic.

Because I've been watching a few episodes every now and again and other than being Mr. Fantastic we see no evidence of bizarre alien biology. I maintain that there ought to be some.

Cathy is a girl who comes from outer space, specifically from planet Rhapsodia. She came to Earth with Mr. Smith, her grandfather, to start the Monster Buster Club. She has stretching powers due to her bones being like rubber and wears a pink Monster Buster Club suit. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. In "The Trouble with Troublemaking" it is revealed that her last name is Smith, which she shares with her grandfather. She now lives with him on Earth, but nothing is known about her parents. She is thought to be a parody of Code Lyoko character Aelita.

Oh, and "parody" isn't quite the term. I'd say "rip-off" is much closer to the mark.

In the Halloween episode, I saw that Cathy's grampa had a fish / fly true form.

He used it as his "costume" and freaked out all the cool kids.

I guess that's Cathy's true form (more or less) as well?

EDIT: Guys, terrible news. I may be starting to like this show.

Well, even though it's a parody, I still watched it to see what it was like. I have fun spotting the similarities between CL and MBC. Cathy's freakin' hilarious. Especially with her floating cupcakes. She's a lot more naive than Aelita, though. She doesn't much think about using her powers in public.

In the first part of the movie "Revenge of The Stalkers (Part 1)," it is revealed she was pregnant after she was not feeling so well and than knocked-outed. Danny carried her to the A.E.A.R Hospital for a check up. After that it is revealed it will be a girl and Danny's first daughter. Also, she is very happy that she is going to become a mother. In the second part of the movie "Revenge of The Stalkers (Part 2)," she shouts to him before he is taken away by the Stalkers leaving her and A.E.A.R to continue the battle. In the final part of the movie "Revenge of The Stalkers (Part 3)" she uses the new Rhapsodia energy to revive Danny from death. After he's revived she cries and hugs him thinking they would never be together again. In the same episode, she is very mad at Stalkers because she already knew they're the ones who used human scientist to capture her parents for experiment. They were going to do it on MBC too. They were going to freeze Danny inside stasis cell until he died and use his body parts to create replicas for war. Also, they hugged and share their first kiss in the school hallway after MBC and A.E.A.R defeat the Stalkers last night. Also the credit over as she carried a baby it is believe that was her daughter.

So, in a bizarre turn of events, I admit that I've actually started to fully like this show. And I third the emotion of Cathy being hilarious. That thing from Wikipedia is extremely disturbing, though, especially when you consider that those kids are ten and pregnant Cathy is kind of like a no-no. (even though she's 700 Earth years old, biologically she's still a small kid and young kid pregnancy disturbs me)
