Lol...how amusing were the songs (not to mention the idea of adults playing 10-13 year old kids)? Most of the numbers were just borrowed from various Pokemon soundtracks, but the original ones...good gravy, those were a hoot. As was the plotline...and I still say Giovanni is actually Ash's father. *snickers evily*

On the subject of, er....Ash's various Pokemon affairs, Pikashipping was the most common of them in fanfiction (as in the Japanese version, I believe Pikachu is played off more as a girl than a boy), but I do recall seeing one or two Chikashippy stories as well.

You have any links to those kind of stories? The only Pokemon fics I read was yours (that one with the Evil Togepi) and saw a magazine with Ash/Meowth/Pikachu/James slash somewhere around a peruvian city. Meowth was giving head to Ash... :S

Haha... by 2001 (when Pokémon was still popular), I was on vacations at Trujillo, located in the department of La Libertad, Perú. So I was walking through the streets and there was a newspaper mini-store and one of the magazines was about Pokémon slash, the cover had those 4 mentioned above plus a topless Jesse. I bought it and read it... not bad, but then a kid wanted it and I sold it to him.

I have a few volumes of the Pokemon Adventures(Special) manga, and it's pretty good. It's too bad the rest of the volumes didn't come to the US. Does anybody know where I can order the later volumes?

Er...no...more that they were married, had Ash, then Giovanni left to become a gym leader and then somehow became evil and subsequently founded and led Team Rocket.

The only reason I ever thought Giovanni was Ash's father, was because everyone kept saying Ash's father left when he was little to become a master Pokemon trainer. Nothing more is ever said...and the musical (which may or may not be considered canon), revealed that Delia and Giovanni knew each other when they were younger. So...who's Ash's father.

If anything, revealing that Giovanni is Ash's father would have just made for a rather silly, yet typical Star Wars-esque scene. *sweatdrop*

You might be able to find the manga volumes online. Try Ebay, or PokemonCenter.com as either of them might have it in stock.

Ah..Pokemon! Something I've liked since the fourth grade. It all started one morning, I was flipping through the channels bored out of my puny little mind, when I saw it, I liked it, a show where monsters beat each other up, it was fun, so about two months later, I got my first yellow version. By the end of the summer, I lost it. I had cleared the E4 over a hundred times, so during the next school year I got silver. After that the craze started to die out, and I got bored. finally, one day a few years later, I got a cold and stayed home that day, that evening(having made myself sick of crystal) I asked my mom to get me a new pokemon game while she was out shopping. She was out late, I was in bed by the time she got back. The next morning, I went downstaird to find my very own Sapphire version. I beat the game in about a week. I got ruby a few weeks later. For about two years, pokemon got better and better for me. Until one fateful day near the end of july, my GBA and games were STOLEN!!! With all but my faithful sapphire stolen and lost, I sold italong with colluseum. It seemed to be all but over. But one day in february, the most shocking news reached my ears: Pokemon was having a US tour and a tournament for the Games. With renewed interest, I bought a new Gameboy and emerald version, aspiring to win the tournament. I lost horribly in the first round, byt the consolation prizes were almost worth it, a guidebook for emerald and a T-shirt, not to mention a ton of digtal swag. And to this day, I still like it!!!

The anime is/was horrible because they didn't stick to the games.

They're getting better about that, though...o.o; I'm sorta surprised that the R/S season follows Emerald (it does...since they switched out the Sootopolis leader and they've thrown in the Battle Frontier brains)...

But meh. I wanna see the Porygon episode.
