Just watched Cinderella Man.

Excellent performance by Russell Crowe, great setting, atmosphere, and premise for the story. This is the one of the few movies where I was completely rooting for the protagonist. Definitely a top 5.

I saw "Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause"

It's a lot better than what the critics said. They said that Tim Allen couldn't be funny just because he "only did it for the money." The movie was just to continue some unanswered questions left by the 2nd film, but I really didn't think it was necessary just to collapse the alternate Christmas Eve into 15 minutes. (Also, the people don't know Jack Frost. Have they ever watched the family film making fun of Frank Zappa at Christmas? That's what "Jack Frost" is.)

Also, it wasn't that necessary to answer those questions in a 3rd movie. You would've made yourself a blog on YouTube and did this. Now, the critics would like it...

I don't like it when critics tend to expect of what from a movie. Critics expected "Led Zeppelin III" to be hard, but it turned out that it was a good mixture of rock songs and some folk songs. Also, critics expected "Hudson Hawk" to be scary and not funny, but Bruce Willis wanted it to be that way!

I wanna see "Hudson Hawk"!

I think that's why all of you have this feeling about a certain CL episode that you want it to be that way...revealing...but it wasn't. GET OVER IT. STOP CRITIQUING IT JUST BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T LIKE THE CONCEPT. I don't like the concept of Blazing Saddles, but boy, it was a funny film. GET OVER IT.

I. AM. LEGEND.

This movie redefines its genre. Nay, it IS its own genre. Will Smith can act very seriously, not just humourously. It seemed... more like a documentary than a movie. It's entirely possible what happened... Also, without spoiling too much, I want to say that it never had its major high and low points. It just kept going down, then down, then down, then slightly up, then down, etc. The plot never stopped moving or slowed down. The movie was more on the thoughts and insights of the mind, not so much as dialouge. A perfect 10.1/10, I don't think it could have been better produced than this. This gets Kamekai's seal of approval. A must see. :thumbs up:

I just saw it today; I agree whole-heartedly. The movie was really sad at some points, but I loved it.

Man, they totally screwed up the voices. The old ones were cute, these were annoying. :arg: And what's more, the humour is... not humourous. I'm definitely not going to see that movie.

It was good in parts, but I can't help but feel the book ending would of been so much more meaningful then the one they came up with.

V for Vendetta.

I wish I could say more about it, but all of the epicness within the disc made my DVD explode. Not necessarily a top five yet, but definitely a must-see--maybe if I rewatch it another time, and let it sink it, it might make it up there.

"Balls of Fury".

Oh my. That had to be one of the best comedies I saw in a while.

"I'm going to Disneyland!"

Just watched Flatliners, a 1990 thriller.

A group of medical students experiment with the afterlife/out-of-body experiences by temporarily killing themselves under controlled circumstances. At first, their experiences seem benign and even comfortable, but as the movie continues, the experiences lead them into a deeper part of their conscience. The premise is not overly religious, though there are obvious motifs. Themes of atonement and forgiveness are the main focus, and they aren't from a strictly religious view.

Top-10. I could understand why some people may not like it, though. It's one of those, "For those who like these kind of movies... this is the kind of movie they like" type of film.

Last Weekend, I saw two movies: Charlie Wilson's War and National Treasure 2. I liked the first one better, as it has some Oscar-worthy performances. NT2 felt slow in places and not as fun as the first one.

Rush Hour 3.

I actually really liked the two first installments of the trilogy. They were pretty funny, had some fairly realistic action scenes, and the story wasn't all that bad. RH3 better be the last one, though. Laden with lame blue humor (it's typically not my favorite type of humor, but this was poorly executed), it was a definite jump from the witty type of humor in the first two movies. The storyline was okay, but you could already guess who the mastermind was when you laid eyes on him (and I don't mean the sniper), and the whole scenario Lee's (Jackie Chan) sibling was really lame. A small 13 year old girl making a grown man cower in fear was pretty sad--almost as bad as her acting.

Overall, out of four stars: 1½ stars. The bloopers and the French taxi driver were the only really decent parts.

I saw 'Death At A Funeral' the other day. made of pure win :D 9.99/10 for me. There wasn't much of a story line, but it was so, so funny.

I keep catching snippets of movies on the higher-up cable channels, but the last one I sat all the way through was Gladiator, because I hadn't seen it since it came out in 2000.

Just saw The Warriors, a 1979 cult classic...

And for the most part, it deserved that status. The acting was poor, the fight scenes were mediocre, and the storyline wasn't all that great (and I guess it probably doesn't help that everyone in a gang has the body of a scrawny teenager). They got pretty far just using that plotline, though. The music was alright, and I'm sure that this movie will make you want to double team some clowns wearing baseball outfits after watchign it, but aside from that, it's not a great movie.

1 star at most, but, ironically, it's probably worth watching just because it developed a cult following. I'm partly inspired to try out the video game based on the movie, too.
