Those are great scenes! Some of my favorites!

Another one of my favorite Kenshin/Kaoru moments is during the Raijuta arc (second episode), when Kenshin comes home carrying Yutaro, and the two of them are soaked (and Kenshin's exhausted). After securing Yutaro with Megumi, Kenshin sits down on the porch and it appears he drops off to sleep without hardly even answering Sano, Kaoru's or Yahiko's questions. Kaoru sits next to him and says one of my most favorite lines in the series:

"You're always worrying about everybody else. And you're always risking your life...you're such a jerk."

That is the sweetest thing I think I've ever heard (in the context of the episode, of course). ^_^

How funny is it that when they introduce Megumi, she immediately attaches herself to him and purposefully makes Kaoru jealous. And she calls him "Sir Ken", lol. Thats a really funny name for Kenshin.

I suppose Samurai are the Japanese equivalent to Europe's knights. Knights were always given the title of "Sir", so it makes sense for Kenshin to be called that title (although he'd never want it ^^; ).

Also, Megumi calls him Sir Ken because Kenshin saved her from those ruffians...like a "knight" in shining armor.

Megumi is so good at making Kaoru jealous. All she has to do is say "Sir Ken" and Kaoru's fuming.

Hmmm...now that seems familiar...heh... "Oh Ulrich, dear..."

An example of true love is Shishio/Yumi. She loves him even though hes pretty much a mummy and even though hes a bad guy, she sticks with him. She even dies for him and was happy that she saved him at the cost of her life. And after Shishio dies, theyre both reunited as spirits from what the other assistant to Shishio sees.

That reunion in the UnderWorld was the most twisted ending I think i've ever seen. I suppose that is love in an exceedingly turned about sense, that they more or less died together. It was a really appropriate ending though since Shishio is/was one of the best villains out of any show I've watched. He was serious bad news.

Yumi/Shishio *snickers more* I'm lucky Yumi Ishiyama doesn't carry around a bokken. I'd be outside the stratosphere by now. ^^;

I love the episode where they introduce Yahiko's girlfriend, Tsubame. Shes working for some bad guys and Yahiko must save her alone. She calls him "Little Yahiko" which Yahiko just hates. Also during a battle in Kyoto, when Kenshins master Seijuro arrives, how the girls swoon when hes around is so funny.

Yeah! I support Tsubame/Yahiko! They're a sweet couple. ^_^

Seijuro's cool. He acts like he's the best...because he know's he's the best. I always wished they'd do a scene after the Kyoto arc with Soujiro and Seijuro meeting by chance...it'd be a fangirl overload scene.

I love how Kenshin silently eats Kaorus cooking and never complains while Yahiko and Sano openly disclose their disgust at her cooking and Kaoru getting mad whenever they do that. Seems Kenshin doesnt wanna get beat or he loves Kaoru enough to not complain about her.

In the first episodes, one of the bad guys was a former expelled student of the Kamiya dojo, Gohei Hiroma. He was the one posing as Battosai and saying he used the Kamiya Kasshin style. Ive seen some episodes featuring him but I dont think ive seen his final episode. Did he finally die in his final appearance or at least lock him up and throw away the key?

He appeared later on in the "Tokyo Arc" in a Yahiko-centered episode. He co-erces Yahiko into dueling him and stealing Kenshin's reversed-blade sword to battle with. Of course, once Yahiko takes it, Gohei hires a duo of accomplished ninja assassins to capture him and the sword and call Kenshin out on a duel. Kenshin battles supremely well even without his sword, but Yahiko manages to free himself, defeat Gohei (with the patented "Yahiko Groin Kick" ) and get the reversed blade sword back to Kenshin in time. It's a really good episode. ^_^

In the end, I think Gohei limps away and escapes. I can't remember if he's seen again either in the manga or anime. However, there is an absolutely fantastic RK fanfic that centers around Yahiko and Gohei's return yet again for vengeance. It's called "The Flower of Life" by Tocole, and I highly recommend it (Souji's in it too! ). At the moment, the author is re-uploading it after editing it, so while it was originally a finished story, not all the chapters are back up. But it is a really good read for Yahiko fans, and an awesome overall RK fic. If anyone's interested in reading it, I'll post a link as well. ^^

I was suprised to see he was the traitor who got Kenshin into the predicament with Tomoe and her family. So I was kinda glad he got what he deserved by being killed by another assassin who I think was Shishio.

Speaking of Iizuka...I can't remember if anyone happened to tell Enishi that about him. Not that it would likely do anything for his hatred against Kenshin...but it might have helped at some point. You're right though...I'm almost positive the assassin that nails him is Shishio.

Whatever happened to Katsura, the boss of Kenshin? I believe he did survive the prequel, but i never saw him again after that.

I believe he died, either of old age or war. Katsura did live to become one of th three true founders of the Meiji era, along with Okubo (and someone else I can't remember). By the time the Shishio arc rolled around though, only Okubo was still living...and he didn't last much longer after that...thanks to a certain Tenken we all know... ^^;

Anyone ever see the Episode Kaoru Ecstatic


It was funny. Kaoru is upset that her relationship with Kenshin isn't going anywhere. Ms.Tai, decides she's going to do something about it.

Kenshin catches a fish that has an engagement ring in it, and thanks to Ms.Tai pushing him towards Kaoru, he ends up giving it to Kaoru, who thinks she's going to marry Kenshin, but Kenshin has no clue about the ring.

Sano runs into this upset guy ready to commit suicide. Apparently this man threw an engagemnet ring into the water, and now wishes he had it back. He thought he saw his girlfriend cheating on him, but the guy she was with was only her cousin. And the ring was the same one that Kenshin gave to Kaoru.

So Yahiko, and Sano make several attempts to get the ring off Kaoru. Eventually, they do, but end up gettting Kaoru drunk. They get the ring to the guy. Kenshin gives a bouquet of flowers to Kaoru. Yahiko does the same with Tsubame.

Funny scene, first episode. Right near the very end. Dr.Gensai is treating Kenshin's wound.

Dr.Gensai:Stop moving around so much.
Kenshin:Well it hurts.
Ayame and Suzume:Cry baby! Cry baby!

I found that scene amusing.
