Does anyone play DDR?

Postby Alex » Wed Jun 22, 2005 11:11 am

I'll have you know that I am addicted to Dance Dance Revolution... I have both Xbox games, and I would play it on Live, if anyone else was on. (Seriously. I was the only user online when I looked the other day.) Anyways...

My setup:
DDR Ultramix 2
RedOctane Ignition 3.0
Hi-def cables running to hi-def TV

An I the only one who plays the game of DDR here?
I am the one known as NeoDude in a past life.

I do the PS version... XBOX is retarded, no offense. I'm not going to support Microsoft any more than I have to.

I play DDR!! :D Not good at it at all (on dance pad), but I've got the PS1/PS2 versions . I love the music best...they've got Soundtracks of the music of DDR in Japan too, lucky them! ^^

I know! I want one. Heehee.

I like 'A' and 'Dive'. I can play on the dance pad sort of okay, but anything too crazy just throws me off. XD

My cousin Luke is like the DDR GOD, though... he can do DDR Max 2 on Heavy mode with the boost on... even some of the toughest songs are a snap for him. He's better at it than my other cousin who's 18 and first introduced him to it.

I've seen someone like that at an anime convention. His name is DDR Mike, and no one ever beats him at it. He takes on the hardest songs, at the hardest levels, and gets all perfects. His combo number by the end is well over 600.

New versions are on the way, FYI... DDR Extreme 2 for PS2 will have online play, and DDR Ultramix 3 for Xbox has a story mode, a jukebox mode, and a freestyle mode.

I played once at a friends house, they got all of us addicted! We have one of the routines memorized, but I can't remember which one right now... :umm:

That's technically against the rules, Morgan. Either edit that or I'll edit it for you.

Anybody recently bought the new DDR-related game In The Groove? How about the Karaoke Revolution games? Are they any good?

I'm a DDR FREAK. Two of my friends have the PS2 versions and I tend to play it for hours... I can beat any song in Beginner or Light but beyond that's beyond me 'cause I can't practice...

BTW, there's a flash version: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com You play it with your arrow keys. Addicting. ;)

Get Into The Groove would be that Madonna song you seem to recall, Blob.
