Dunno, never saw it on TV, only DVDs. I've never seen an english-dubbed episode, but I've seen english subtitles.

I own the soundtracks, the show, the mini-movie/pilot episode (Azumanga Web Daioh), have over 75 wallpapers and hundreds of other images on my computer. Am I obsessed? No. I just know something genuinely good when I see it. It is on TV in the US, if you get the Anime Network, a VOD service in some major markets (sadly, not mine). It apparently reaches 20+ million households. Go out and get the manga and the DVDs. You will not regret it. And pick up the Yotsuba&! (Yotsubato) manga, too. IT's by the same person (Kiyohiko Azuma), and it's even cuter than Azu is, and it's hard to be cuter than this:
