Whats very freaky is I read that. About an hour later, while reading a book called 'People Who Changed The World', and the general in question has his own section. His name was Prince Gebhard Von Blucher. But it said nothing of him being a mercenary. Acording to this book, he was sent on behalf of Prussia (one of the many states that now make up Germany)
