...

Why? They already have their own video service!

If they make any changes to the site, like banning AMVs because they 'break copyrights', I'll be mad.

And if this turns out to be a joke, I'll be even madder.

No way! I'll lose everything if that happens! I hate Goggle!

EDIT:

Just found this on Wikipedia:

YouTube was purchased by Google on October 9, 2006 for $1.65 billion, but will remain a separate service under their own identity for the near future, though YouTube search results may include Google Video clips, and vice versa

They shouldnt be allowed to monopolize like that. They are going to end up buying every company that does anything similar to theirs.

Headlines on the Mourne Observer/New York Times as of 9 Oct '06:

'ENGRAGED 12 YEAR OLD ATTACKS GOOGLE CORP. WITH AXE
Building demolished near graveyard- millions dead'

Man, I need to get a life.

Google will end up owning EVERYTHING at this rate. Just think people, right now in a decade or two you'll be eating Google brand bananas.

... yeah. Searching for a life now.

Well, with real news about the thing from BBC News... do you guys think that Google's offer was cheap for buying Youtube?

Really though, google has a history of buying things and keeping (or even making) them pretty decent. Perhaps since Youtube is still operating as an indipendant entity under their umbrella, they'll leave them alone to continue running as things were.

Google might just start making their own brands of stuff. It would be like on space balls..

Merchandising Merchandising,

We got Google Lunchboxes
Google action figures,
Google the cereal
Google the movie
Google the flamethrower.

Honestly..Google is big enough as is to support itself without buying other companies..I think now its becoming rediculous and they are showing off.

Umm, actually if they have the money, they can buy the companies. And, Youtube has the say, obviously. They sold to Google, don't freaking blame Google. Blame Youtube.

Your right. Youtube did sell... BUT. Yep, there's a but. Google should've never even thought about buying Youtube.

I'm dissapointed in youtube for being so weak. xD

Google is awesome..I would rather use their searches than say Yahoo searches..but as long as the other companies can keep their seperate identity without losing their individuality, then im ok with it.

The only thing I'm really worried about is if they start taking copyrighted material off.

I cannot live without my subtitled anime.

Dubbed anime just... sucks. So, so much.

I'll have to storm Google headquarters if they do that. XD
