Could be a blow like I hear Date Movie was. But it could be amazing like the Scary Movie series.
What will you remember me for?

I'm impressed that they've already been able to insert a Borat reference - hope this doesn't blow.

I note though that they seem to be steering clear of parodying 'Lord of the Rings', the epicest of epics - I mean looking at the poster and trailer I see Superman, Snakes on a Plane, Willy Wonka, Da Vinci Code and Narnia just to name just a few, but no LOTR?

I need to see this movie. NEED to. The beginning of the commerical I saw on TV a few days ago was enough to confirm this. "Ah! A talking beaver!! *kick*"

Oh, ok. It's rated PG-13.

Well I don't know. I expected Date Movie to be really funny when it was just corney. So was Scary movie 4. I wouldn't be suprised if this wasn't really what people expected. I think the first second and third scary movies were the funniest.

You know, maybe it's just because I've seen Narnia, Superman Returns, and Pirates 1 and 2 but have never seen any horror movies, but this movie looks a lot more crass and blatant in its parodying than the Scary Movie 3 trailer. Not much more ( :nyeh!: ), but still, not as funny looking. Not that I ever saw Scary Movie 3 or intend to watch this movie, but... you know.

I saw it, and it sucked.

It did have its funny moments though. Silas delivered some good lines.

And about the "How might they insult Borat?" thing...well...you don't want to know. Really.

Yes, that and:
*Relies too much on gross-out humor
*Special effects suck, characters will often come out of injuries uneventfully (i.e. a character who is stabbed will often pull the weapon from the wound blatantly with no visible injuries, think of a stab death in an elementary school play)
    *Lack of continuity
*The best lines come from a character that is killed off

The part I highlighted in bold sounds a lot like that old Holy Grail movie. Forget what it was actually called...
Black Knight: "I can still fight!"
King Arthur: "Fight, why look at you! I cut your bloody arm off!"
Black Knight: "Just a minor flesh wound..."
thank you all for the good memories <3

You would be thinking of Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Exceedingly silly, that.
