Does anyone here like the show Rurouni Kenshin? If you do, what was your favorite season, episode, and character?

Mine would be (In that order):
Season 2,
Kaoru, Ecstatic
Kenshin.

I saw part of an episode once. I didn't mind it, but I wasn't compelled to look at another.

The same can be said for Samurai Champloo.

The same could also have been said for Inuyasha, but I've started to watch it regularly. I still can't figure out why, probably because I haven't understood it yet...

Favorite season was Season 1.
Favorite episode was the 3 part Raijuta arc (or to be really picky about one episode, I like the first ever episode best).
Favorite character? SOUJIRO SETA!!! I love him so!

I think it's technically "Battousai"...but I have seen the English version of the Manga spell it "Battosai".

Anyway, I have a few good reasons for liking Soujiro and a couple of shallow ones too. The worst shallow reason is that out of all the cartoon characters I adore...he's the only one that's technically unattached (Kenshin has Kaoru; Ulrich has Yumi; Ron had Kim...and so on). However, he's second only to Kenshin in the fangirl department so it'd end up being a very long battle. Anyway, moving on to more meaningful reasons...

I pity Soujiro. I really do. His relatives make Harry Potter's look like they were heaven-sent, and when he really needed someone to look out for him (when his family tried to kill him), no one was there. He was forced to kill and I sense that he always felt disappointed that Shishio didn't come to his aid (a disappointment that he directed at Kenshin during their battel). So I pity him in much the same way I pity Kenshin, except that he's much younger, and still looking for someone who honestly cares about him. Poor fellow.

Now for another shallow reason...he's cute. I have to admit, he's very cute, and he's got a Kenshin-ish smile. So that's shallow reason number 2. ^_^

And for a slightly better reason as to why I like him, I really like his fighting style. This kid gave Kenshin a hard time until he totally started to lose it, and even then he was still very formidable. The Shukuchi is one of the coolest techniques I think I've ever seen on RuroKen, and I love how he's polite, like Kenshin, when it comes to fighting an opponent. He's a little more over-confident than Kenshin but that's because he's younger and still headstrong. But seriously...the Shukuchi is an awesome technique. And his nickname; Tenken? Very cool.

So those are a few reasons as to why I like Soujiro. Actually...going off on a tangent...Souji (I tend to call him that) reminds me alot of Ulrich in a funny sort of way. Dark hair, impressive swordsmanship skills, cute-looking, a tendency to hide/block their emotions (they even sort of smile the same). And...seriously...how much does Ulrich's special Lyoko power remind you of the Shukuchi? Heh...all he needs is that cool little foot tap, and Ulrich could almost pass for Souji's twin.

Inuyasha is a great show. Admittedly, I haven't watched it in a while but it's definitely awesome.

All I've been able to gather from Inuyasha is that the monk (Moruko? Moroku?) is randier than Richard Moore but far more sensible (not difficult, there are rocks more sensible than Richard Moore), and that the girl with the giant boomerang reminds me of both Rachel Moore and Linii-chan... in fact the monk and the girl remind me of Werwek and Linii-chan...

Yes, Inuyasha does tend to get very jealous. It's quite amusing sometimes. Though I've been a fan of the show for so long that I'm slightly sick of it and wish that they would finally admit their feelings after about 200 episodes..

I like Rurouni Kenshin. I saw a lot of the series in Spanish on weekend mornings a couple of years ago. Recently, I bought the motion picture, the Trust & Betrayal and Reflection OAVs. These were released into the US under the title "Samurai X".

I have the boxsets for Kenshin as well. I like Kenshin, even though he used to be a manslayer. Yahiko's a good character. It's kind of funny to see him and Sano argue sometimes. Soujiro is alot like Ulrich.
