The Top Gear thread of awesomeness

Postby DL » Sun Jun 22, 2008 10:09 pm

How have we never made a thread about Top Gear? I mean really.

The hosts (Clarkson, May, and Hammond):

It is a show about cars, but it's more of a commedy thing. If you happen to live in england it's on BBC2 I think. For those of us in the US its on BBCAmerica (Mondays @ 8pm and 9pm).

I just watched an episode last night, Where they begin to discuss where the layout for modern day cars come from.

And I love the part where they couldn't get the stupid thing to stop because it wasn't in the instructions, so they had to use wind-resistance... BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I haven't watched it yet...

...but due to my obsession with Gran Turismo, I might be interested.

As far as BBC America programs, I'm very partial to Torchwood and Bargain Hunt. But I will watch whatever is on for the accents. it's a lot better than most of the crud on US television.

They are making a Top Gear US program. They are in the process of choosing the hosts at this point. I found this out on Nasioc, a Subaru Forum that I frequent.
