Stupid activists. Now sometimes i agree with them, but this is ridiculous. If you have a very important game where there is a large sum of money as a prize, then you need to eliminate distractions.

I'm all for better treatment for animals, but PETA is ridiculous.

Since the use of marksmen to kill pigeons appears to have been carried out as a first, rather than a last resort, and not out of a concern for public health, but rather because the animals were deemed inconvenient by players, you appear to be in clear violation of the law.

Uh, no. The marksmen were their last resort, the first resort being hawks that scare the pigeons. Also, pigeon droppings were posing a health hazard at areas where people were eating.

Sure, I think beating your pets and certain kinds of animal testing are wrong, and I'm not one for wearing fur, but PETA has simply gone too far, to the point where the only thing they do is annoy people. Not a very good way to get a point across.
