Hmmm. I'm no advertising executive, but I'd say that they changed their logo to add a warmness and attractiveness to their brand. The old one was blocky and almost intimidating, as if it was saying "SHOP AT WALMART. NOW."

But this new one, using lighter shades, rounder letters and a pretty flower design takes the edge off, as if saying "Hey there, why don't you come on in here? We've got great prices."

However, a logo change doesn't change the fact that Walmart is still evil.

Actually, Wal-Mart isn't that bad. It still is bad, but it's got lessening factors now.

They adhere to strict environmental standards, and they do put pressure on the componies that supply their goods to do the same. In that respect, they are doing good, because they're helping the environment (a little.)

I've been to Walmart very few times, but even then...eh. The old logo is definitely more iconic, but this one seems a lot more modern, streamlined...cool, kind of. And relating to Sithking, the flower in the logo kind of reminds me of environmental consiousness. It's like they're saying, "Shop here to save the whales!"

I'm not really totally for or against. Whatever happens happens.

Walmart destroys small, family owned business with their low prices and expansive inventory. They sell goods made in factories in East Asia where the workers make six cents an hour and give two thirds of it to their families. Sure, they're convinent, but evil. Then again, name a large corporation that DOESN'T have some evil in them somewhere.

All that aside, my family does shop at Walmart and I don't particularly mind, mainly because it's mainly groceries. I doubt my Hot Pockets were made in some factory in Bangladesh.

Well, the whole import mentality in general. At least the military should have a made-in-America policy; you don't want your defense to be dependent on any other country, even if they seem to be an ally right now; much less China.

I never really liked Wal-Mart at all, its too big, and there's always a ton of people you have to get around.

Thanks to Wal*Mart, America has been supplanted by China as largest economic superpower. I wonder how many hours the board room spent going over aesthetic designs before they came to that. The star/sun looks like it was tacked on as an afterthought. How nauseating.

Actually you know what? If Walmart started it's own gas company, be damned the consequences I'd go there. Why don't they use their power for good instead of evil?
