So long. It's been fun here, but I have a lot going on in my life right now that I need to attend to like my family, especially my nephew, and friends. You might have noticed that I hardly ever post anymore anyway, so I'm not something this forum really needs.

I also might as well tell you; my real first name is William, I'm Southern (and very proud), and I'm from North Carolina.

Before I go, let me just whine and moan about one rule that I find especially stupid and unnecessary; the "no swearing unless in BKO" rule. Don't get me wrong, swearing isn't something I enjoy, but realize that almost all the people here are not little kids but mature teenagers and some people are even in their 20s, so what's the point of it?

And about the BKO swearing rule...that's a precaution put in place because CL is, at its roots, a kid's show, and if any little kiddies come wandering in, we want to keep things safe for them. Thing is, like you said, we haven't had little kiddies here for a long time. (Teki's the youngest at 14, I think.) Still, if swearing was made alright out here, it would make BKO's purpose useless...hm...this is an interesting case.

Carth's got it right. That was reason numero uno for a long time here. The secondary reason, however, is no less important and still applies today. You see, there are these things called laws, particularly ones regarding minors and their protection from harmful content on the Internet. Swearing falls under the category of harmful content as does most things that are only allowed at BKO. So, unless LF wanted to risk getting into trouble with the law, some restrictions had to be put into place. (Granted it'd be a long shot and horrible luck to get in trouble with the government, but who wants to take the chance? It's not <i>that</i> hard to abstain some swearing and keep it all in BKO. )

That reason still stands, regardless of how many kiddies we actually have visiting the site. Hope that clears up some of the confusion on that rule. ^^

Well, I am certainly glad that I did something good for somebody's life. I'll be sad to see you go, but I hope that you lead a good life out there in the real world. There will always be a Lyoko Freak to come back to, should you ever want to. I'm still not rapping though.
