Ahh... those were the days!
Gauntlet wrote:I don't play it much anymore, but I will never forget that game. The shark in Treasure Trove Cove used to scare the hell out of me when I was younger, that's for sure. I've always had an aversion to deep waters--maybe that's where it all started, heh. I never actually beat the game, though...
Gauntlet wrote:I have to say, though--The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time takes the cake for me. Totally epic, no matter how old you are. Those damn spiders used to spook me as well--in fact, it took me quite a while to muster up the courage to step into the Great Deku Tree (I was really, really young when I got into gaming--so shut up, I was allowed to have the jitters). Majora's Mask sits about even with OoT as well. It had a creepy element (Happy Mask Salesman, anyone?) that used to really get to me when I was younger, but still kept playing it. Of the games listed, I only have Banjo-Kazooie and The Ocarina of Time--the latter is really refreshing.
StarFox 64 was great, too. I can't find it anymore, though I'd love to play it again. I only beat it once, but I clearly remember trying several times to save Slippy and access the alternative path (I think it took place on land?). Fun game, fun game.

But 3 lost the isometric view that defined the game.
