Just broke out Megaman Legends 2 again. But on an emulator this time, 'cause my PSX firmware's been on the fritz for several years.
My SN is spelled Feld, not Field. Keep getting it right, Carth.
I has opinions. On things.

Ah yes, Super Mario World on a Super Nintendo. I don't care how old it is, its still fun. The only problem though is that on my 52" Widescreen TV (rear-projection), you start to see pixels.

On more recent games, thier Star Wars: Battlefront 1 and 2, Ratchet and Clank 1-4 (not the PS3 version), Medal of Honor: Frontline, Unreal Tournament 99, Halo 1, and some others.

Banjo-Kazooie is where it's at, man.

I don't play it much anymore, but I will never forget that game. The shark in Treasure Trove Cove used to scare the hell out of me when I was younger, that's for sure. I've always had an aversion to deep waters--maybe that's where it all started, heh. I never actually beat the game, though...

StarFox 64 was great, too. I can't find it anymore, though I'd love to play it again. I only beat it once, but I clearly remember trying several times to save Slippy and access the alternative path (I think it took place on land?). Fun game, fun game.

I have to say, though--The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time takes the cake for me. Totally epic, no matter how old you are. Those damn spiders used to spook me as well--in fact, it took me quite a while to muster up the courage to step into the Great Deku Tree (I was really, really young when I got into gaming--so shut up, I was allowed to have the jitters). Majora's Mask sits about even with OoT as well. It had a creepy element (Happy Mask Salesman, anyone?) that used to really get to me when I was younger, but still kept playing it. Of the games listed, I only have Banjo-Kazooie and The Ocarina of Time--the latter is really refreshing.

Oh, and the old Pokemon games (Red, Blue, Yellow especially, but Silver/Gold was cool as well). I remember the music and graphics and everything... Man. Old-school right there. I played them on an emulator a few weeks ago.

You never beat it? How far did you go? Because by far, the highlights of the game are the last level (the giant tree, that's in a different season depending on which of four doors you enter the level through) the "quiz show" at the end where in order to access the final battle you have to answer trivia questions about the game, and the final battle itself, because Banjo, Kazooie, and Gruntilda constantly banter and heckle each other during the fight.

"I'm rather slow, with all this lard... that egg of yours caught me off guard!"

Keep at it! There are some really good moments coming up. Banjo Tooie is fantastic, too.

God, I agree. Ocarina of Time is much better than its sequel in my opinion, though they are both great and have a fantastic feeling of mystery, discovery and adventure that I haven't been able to find in any other game, including the latest ones like The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. I found the music in OOT particularly impressive, and my favorite parts were the Forest Temple and Spirit temple. Really, playing that game is like living through Homer's Odyssey in Middle Earth. Nothing short of epic.

Macbeth is the alternate path, and good luck.

Starfox 64 Is avaliable on Wii Shop Channel.

Pokemon Gold and Silver were, I think, some of the best games I've ever played. I actually knew what I was doing in that game... I had a Cyndiquil's max evolution, an ampharos, and a few others besides. Unfortunately, the game was deleted when the built-in battery died, so unfortunately, I can't save stuff anymore on that game.

Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 was even better, with the expansion packs...

But 3 lost the isometric view that defined the game.

I could not agree any more.
RCT2 was probably the best installment in the series.
RCT3 is a memory hog, and I honestly don't like the redesigned interface.

Same goes for Sim City 4.
I still play Sim City 3000, which is the best Sim game EVAH!
I have made awesome cities, which I have even entered into contests.

I loved Sim City 3000, but I lost the disc. I bought 4, but it wasn't that good.

Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 was great, but I liked the first one more.

The first was pretty good, but I like the ability to create your own scenarios in RCT2.
RCT3 also had that ability, but the loss of the isometric view led to its downfall.

Are you still holding out hope for "Release date: When it's done" Duke Nukem ["development is taking"] Forever?

I kid. I kid.

Does Minesweeper count as old?

I wish I could get my hands on a cheap Gamecube controller and memory Card and I will finally play through Metroid Prime. Then again, Nintendo is going to be re-releasing it and Echoes so meh.
