I read that post, and laughed so hard I nearly fell off my chair.

What's up, limited-edition denizens of LF? I'm slowly going insane, as you can see.

Oh good, we need another member of the insane club. Pretty soon, all the mods/admins will have joined us (MEw is holding out, from what I can tell). Oh, and if I'm limited edition, what number am I?

Limited edition, you say? That means I'm special and/or important. What's that weird feeling I have all of a sudden? I think it might be self esteem. Weird.

The downside is that I could end up in plastic packaging in some nerd's house for all my life, or at least until s/he sells me on eBay and I end up in some other nerd's house. And by house I mean the basement of her/his mother's house.

You only have five classes? Lucky duck. And Engineering, that sounds neatoish. And it sounds like you really like math, too. ^___^

I'm also a junior, and, let's see...I've got Precalculus, Honors Physics, AP American Lit, U.S. History, History of Theology and the Sacraments (Catholic school, required course), French III, and Yearbook, which I didn't want to be in but they stuck me in it because only two people signed up for Creative Writing. >.> And a free. 8D

I wouldn't mind being an LF-collecting nerd...

English
Phys Ed (aka torture)
Geometry/Trig
French II avec un professeur je deteste
Theology (Catholic school as well)
Chemistry with my old Theo teacher
US History
Comp. Tech II
and American Studies (?)
And some sprinklings of free periods here and there.
I really gotta fix up this theme

AP Government
AP English
Orchestra
Free Block
Free Block
Free Block
Free Block
with independent study US history and photography. /hmm

This semester I've got Modern East Asia, Principles of geology, a course in international crime fiction, and Swedish 101 yes.

What is it with these free periods you people are all talking about? My schedule for senior year looks something like this:

AP Envrionmental Science
AP English Literature
Japanese, independent study
Theater Tech*
Photoshop/AP US Government (1 semester each)
Tae Kwon Do**/Health (1 semester each)

* Allegedly the class is about set design and stuff. In reality, they do nothing in that class. I only took it because it was pretty much the only available class I could fill that hour with.
** Normally this is a year long class, but I'm only taking a semester because I need 2 gym credits and I can get the other one from Health that does not require physical activity.

I don't know, well, you can take a free period, as long as you have all your credits filled and done with at my school, but only Juniors and Seniors can elect to take free periods, and its good that only they can. But, yeah, even though I already know a huge amount of things on the internet and how to make a successful website or forum, I decided to take the Web Design class to see what the school thinks about creating websites and how I can improve my dynamics in web page creation. I took French Freshman year, and I have to be honest, I really don't like learning language's just because well, they are very hard for me, and I would just rather be taking computer classes and other classes instead of a language class, because, well, I am not going to be going to other countries really, or I really don't plan on it.

Yeah, I recently got a job at Super Stop and Shop, about August 1, I have to save money to pay for half of drivers ed and my own car, but at the moment I really want an Acer Aspire One laptop (with an 8.9 inch screen and 160 gb hard drive and 1 GB of RAM) and an I-Phone 3GS, but I really don't want to void the warranty and Jailbreak/unlock the I phone in order to just be able to use it with The Verizon service provider that My Family has, which is a load of crap that apple has a contract with one of the worst Phone Services in the World. The Customer Service is terrible and the Service itself is terrible and even non existent if you live in the woods where I live. (AT&T)

I think I'd prefer the coursework over the mindless repetition of a day-to-day job. I love my job at the Star, don't get me wrong, but college was indeed the best four years of my life.

I am temporarily not visiting the hangout thread in BKO for my best interests. Who wants to start up a conversation here?

Haha, awww, poor Stoney.

What are these blocks/periods you people speak of? I don't have them anymore, they seem like such a distant memory.

Just to continue off that note, the classes I have this semester ended up being

Linear Algebra
Quantum Physics
Physics I
English Seminar discussion
Advance Chinese
Don Quijote.

...Someone destroy me now before I do it myself.

Oh god. Regular Physics looks so cute and innocent now after taking "calc-based" Physics...hence why I'm doubling up Physics I and Quantum. I pretty much failed Physics I, II was fine, I was horrible. Ick.

I have horrible amounts of trouble with algebra. I am not even taking a math class this year because I know any kind of calculus would destroy my GPA. Plus I didn't need any more math credits, thank gawd. I'm not terribly fond of or good at math.
