Is LF blocked at your school?

As for me... It is. For whatever reason.

This is the same school filter that blocks Youtube because it's "pornographic".

It's probably blocked because of whoever hosts the forums/website.

It's funny. When I first shadowed at my school, LF was blocked. I think between that day (late 2006) and the time I started attending (late 2007) LF's server moved to Techlinks, which made it magically unblocked. So, no, I have no trouble getting on LF at school at all. All day. :3

In my school, which has pretty strict web blocking, LF isn't blocked. I doubt that they'd hesitate to put it on their blacklist if they saw Caption This in BKO.

However, it gets better. They completely eschewed the web blocking over wireless on their network, so I can do virtually anything without their knowledge. Which includes browsing sites like Facebook or Youtube. So, Lyoko Freak is, therefore, not blocked.

At my old high school, no. But school filters are really, really stupid. One time I tried to go on a historic art website and it was banned for "adult materials." Ugh.

when i was in High School they blocked Teklinks (and i was the only one who knew it existed) The WebMarshal reasoning said "Block Webmail"

strange i know right? I dont think this was blocked though since i never came to this site at the time.

My middle school blocked Google Images. Teachers introduced us to some other search engine. their image search wasn't blocked at all. The kid next to me in computer lab would use his time to look up non-school appropriate images.

I remember my old school... they might have used the local website blocker... but ours might have been different, because I never remember encountering any blocks when trying to go online. But then again... I didn't have the widest range of websites back then...

I never use the one's at my school, so I have no idea if this would be blocked or not.

Technically, yes. Websense labels it correctly as Message Boards and Forums

However, i just use other means of unfiltered internet: SSH tunneling (preferred), ultrasurf (slow because the 1 person i gave it to spread it to the entire school), gpass (slow because its servers are crap), and if i'm desperate, proxy sites (breaks everything, but is ok-ish-maybe-no).

That is a magnificent thought to have and I give you a firm pat on the back for having thought it.

And Kadic does probably block things. Since it's a private school, it probably has very <s>unreasonable</s> lofty standards regarding what the students are and aren't allowed to see.

I should check one time to see if this is blocked at my school. I wouldn't be suprised. They're strict. In fact, the school is older then America itself.

I would, but I don't think they'd welcome us. That and I probably wouldn't be able to travel for a while.
