]Now we go to Erin, owner of LF and one of my friends here, she and I were never to close to begin with, I didn’t even know her from TT do to the fact that I was in my own little world back there. But looking at Erin now and the Erin from then, there is really no differents in attitude or mannerisms, she is still sweet little Erin, but with a big ass web-site on her back. I miss little Erin with no web-site but....the new Erin is ten times better. She remembers me from TT, and she knows even though we never talked back then or never really did anything, that I loved and cared about her. It’s that respect that makes us former Tomers the cream of the crop, we had are good days and we has our bad days.

Whenever you write a thread about me/this site you make me sound so much better than I/it actually is. XD But... thanks for putting so much time into this...

But the paragraph I quoted above I have to comment on. You make it sound as if I'm a different person just because I own this place. But that isn't true at all. LF has changed my life, yes, but I'm still me. The only difference is that now I have new friends, new responsibilities, and new reasons to get online.

I've grown up a lot since you first saw me as ErinSeeLyoko on TVT. But I'm still me in here! I promise!

That was great OddBoy, It's exactly how I feel too. I miss Tvtome!!! No matter how great LF is it'll never be the same. You're right about people growing up. On tvtome everyone was yonger, and now 1-2 years makes a big difference. It's just not the same.

You forgot JoeDaHobo, who isn't here. I got him to johin Tv.com before, but he was never on. Nw, I get to talk to him sometimes on AIM.

There are so many differences between here and Tvtome, and when I was talking to Joe before he pretty much summed it up. He said Tvtome was his life, and I feel exactly the same way. On tvtome, for a while, there were no fights, everyone got along. Until in December '04 when people started to leave, the bond was broken. It almost came back the next year until the dreaded month of April. The fight wasn't exacly wit, it was just so stupid. And then Tvtome shut down and the bond was forever damaged...

But it still remains today, and hopefully will hold on to the future.

It was a very touching speach indeed (and long). It also made me feel all warm inside because for some reason after one of these threads just make everything feel like tvtome again.

To all you who are not ex tomers: You may have not been there before with us, but your here now. Click the link, start a revolution (took that from the chevy commercial). You guys get to experiece what its like to be here with us now, and thats what matters, right?

OBoy, over the years (two now, right?) you have been an inspiration to (most) of us. Its you and your threads that make us realize what a forums really is...a family. And Im proud to be a member of this one.

I too was really sad when TV Tome was shut down, but LF has been the greatest for me and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I remember going to TVT a while ago, just from some random search, but I never came back... the only reason I ever found TV.com is that one of my favorite sites is GameFAQs, which includes the same bar at the top that TV.com now does. But, seriously: old friends are nice, but the way you're talking doesn't sound very accepting to new people. (Like me...)

To all the non-Tomers who claim to be "emotionally abused" by this thread: We are a CL community and we welcome all who value Code Lyoko. However, like everywhere else, we have a history, and a large part of it is rooted in the now-defunct TVTome Code Lyoko Forum.

Most (but NOT all) of the veteran members of LyokoFreak were members of TVTome's CL forum. IIRC (and Mom can correct me if I don't RC), LyokoFreak was initially formed to supplement TVTome, so that the Tomers could discuss CL and other things in a more relaxed atmosphere than the rules of TVTome in general (wider than the CL forum) allowed.

Then TVTome was sold out to TV.com and was absorbed into it. The homeless Tomers slowly but surely migrated to LyokoFreak.

So the ex-Tomers share a cameraderie born of the good times, the bad times, and the end times of TVTome. If we seem cliquish, it is because we *are* a brotherhood, born of what was then the best Code Lyoko forum around.

But TVTome is dead and gone and now LyokoFreak is the best CL forum around, partly because of us ex-Tomers and partly despite us. *ALL* CL fans are welcome as Freaks! But not all Freaks have the same memories. Just as I will never know what it is like to have been one of the Senior Members of LyokoFreak in the early days, so will you never know what it was like to be a Tomer. But that is all in the past, for us old-timers to drink our cocoa by the fire and remenisce about. It has nothing to do with any relative scale of our devotion to CL as against yours.

Years from now, in about the fourth or fifth season, you will be able to talk about how it was here in the first year, and those who joined after you won't, and will probably consider you to be cliquish too. But such it is with any band who share common memories that others don't.

Half the reason I dont join other forums is because there is so much I would have to catch up on. But for some reason, I joined tvtome, and here I am today. Though I doubt Ill join anymore forums (even if they are run by people I know). Too much hassle to keep up with.

Very well said, Blob. But thanks to the ex-Tomers, my devotion for Code Lyoko grew a lot, and that I'm not going to deny.

I will never understand what was TvTome back at 2004, but I've heard of some stuff about it.

I was proud of joining LF basically because it was an Anti-Mewberries151 (I hope she doesn't kill me for this, but my first impression about her was as a partypooper, ignoring in a bad way the first time I've talked to her about Garage Kids) forum. It basically was everything I have always wanted from a forum. Free from rules, free from Gino24 (his intentions for making Distance in my opinion was a big failure because not all TvTome members joined it and we all felt and glad talking to each other back at TvTome), but showing respect to members and talking in a mature way. Maybe I have disrespected some of you, and if I did, I'm sorry, but sometimes we do have our reasons to argue and debate and bash off each other and make jokes to people.

LyokoFreak's first glorious days (very different from Linii-chan's POV, SamBlob, etc.)... random talking until very late time, having fun and laughing hard at random stuff, tons of cussing. For further reference, check out Big Kids Only's old threads (Who Would wou Date? ; Freestyle Bulls**t!!; I'm Going To H*l* For This, etc.). It was crazy and fun. I'm pretty sure that if we pulled off those threads at TvTome, we could have been banned for life there, and people claiming for us for speaking very harsh words at a forum that supposesd for kids with the age of 7 and up, when in reality, TvTome accepted members that were 13 and up. If rules were strictfully respected, LF would had never existed.

And the new members that join LF, feel gald and proud to be here. I'm sure most of the new members gets a Howdy or a Welcome Aboard!! (lately, it's been stolen by others) or even newbie cookies (the latest newbie snack), and we're nice introducing ourselves to new members. So think of LyokoFreak as your new home. And make yourselves a name out here.

Most of you people know that you're f**king lucky to see me here, because honestly I'm not very devoted to cartoons (the last thing I really loved was Angel, but the TvTome Angel forum was very elitist... the ER TvTome forum was very good, and happens to be the best part of tv.com nowadays, just to mention a good reason to go chat at tv.com)... but allow me to tell how I felt at TvTome.

First of all, I felt like s**t when I joined there. I didn't had a very good welcome (my first thread was sort of stupid, asking why didn't Jeremie died when he falled from a building at GK) and got yelled for the stupid question. Like if they had already talked about it and not caring about it that much.

I almost left TvTome the first day I joined!!

But something attached me there... I kepy looking around TvTome and found the ER forum (the best place where games were held). I felt quite glad to see it. All the people there were entirely civilized, no elitism, and the oldest members were very nice and awesome (viva speddoc, ERfan1083, Jethed, DrGreene422, the editor (can't remember his name... jcs something, I'll edit that later) which has the best among the TvTome show editors, etc.).

But I looked back at CL TvTome forum, since I still haven't cleared my doubts about the french show.

I tried to get along with the members, and had quite a rough time with SamBlob at a begining. Sure he questions many things (most of them with good reasons, but some of them sound cold and like an attack, but you can get used to it as the same way you see him annoying Little Vili), and he questioned me about Odd being the perfect CL characther for Joey Tribbiani. He stated Nicholas, because both were dumb. I stated Odd because he can be sometimes dumb, but is much more funny than Nicholas. After some debating, I won. Phew... lol.

Then came April. Not the nicest month fo the year, for several reasons. But the most important disgrace was to learn about TvTome getting sold to C-Net. I know many people thought of John Nestiariak as some f***ing ba***rd for doing this thing considered as a crime, but it was his hard work. And to keep alive TvTome would had been expensive in the long run, since no member paid for their TvTome account. But it happened.

Then came the question: Where do we go from here? I was offered to join JeremyHopper's forum, ShadowDragon99's forum and Star Way's forum. It's pretty obvious why I have chosen to stay here.

Eventually, Erynn's site grew up a lot and we all felt glad of being there. Tons of random stuff, loving BKO (it had 80% of activity, unlike the 40% that it beholds today), parties, setting the friendship (my first LF friend is Yizzy, just in case... my first TvTome friend, Hiroshi Yamabuki aka Werwek, and change the name to HY if you read this, dude), etc.

But not all people were happy of LyokoFreak's existence. It drained down TvTome's activity, and people were saying "they're taking away our members". We were having Darklord, OBoy, Little Vili (people at TvTome started to miss his 5am-6am sweep), among others and goodbye threads began before CNet possesed TvTome like XANA finally succeding on Team Lyoko. Many of us felt sad... but LyokoFreak always has their way to adapt themselves to new events.

When TvTome closed down (and got CPR like 2 trimes, lol), we got Mewberries151 (the most devoted Code Lyoko fan I have ever seen, slightly superbing Erynn because without Erynn I'm sure Tv.com would be the hangout place... but without being able to cuss and the risk of getting messages deleted, but tv.com has its good things: private profile, image icon, private message option, blog... things TvTome lacked, but at the price of seeing loads of ads) here, and she promised her word. She abruptly changed LyokoFreak and with the help of other members, we got to lower down BKO's % posts in a 50%, among with the creation of the Games forum. Then CL Discussion started to take life and form again, thanks to her.

LyokoFreak has their moments. Tv.com didn't had a good begining, and that took effect here. We started to have the voice actors here, and eventually tv.com members came here, ex-Tomers came here, Cl.com members arrived here as well, etc.

Every member can make a twist to LyokoFreak. If so, they become some sort of legend, lol.

SamBlob's arrival to LF might haven't been good to some people, but now he's awesome and gives CL Discussion a very excellent twist. The twins(Paige and Aelitagurl, last one an ex-Tomer), they're definately history, no matter what.
Ransomed_Heart (a very sweet person), Katie (our new mod), LothoFoxburr, Mandaz, Ulrich Stern, vertig73 (he did had a record for fast posting formerly, but now he's ok), TB3, +TEARSRUNCOLD, erika, Sanji (aka Trikninja, our cook), Doggiegal (ex-Tomer, IIRC), Dylan0513 (the latest ex-Tomer here), etc.

We all make LF change. But our decisions are what take this palce to be good. It's about how you enjoy it and how you make others enjoy the site.

I know I miss some friends here, but in the end LyokoFreak is the best Code Lyoko forum in this world.

One of the beauties of Tvtome was actuly not haveing avatars or PMs and that kind of stuff because it was just the one forum. And we were all on that one forum, united.

I don't remember Aelitagurl on Tvtome. Did she come durig the newb rush in January-March?
