Do You Keep A Diary/Journal?

Postby Saphire-089 » Mon Nov 14, 2005 6:28 pm

I do. I've been keeping one for two years. If you kept one, would you dedicate it to someone? And who would you dedicate it to?

I've had journals since I was in 5th grade... Some earlier than that, even, but I dropped them after a few days because I was a forgetful little kid. :P

Come to think of it, I got my LiveJournal when I was 11... And that was long before they started letting kids on the site who were under 13 without parental consent. *bad girl* :P

I'm not sure about dedications, myself... Never done them with a personal journal before.

OH! Something cool: if you have a group of really close friends, something fun is to keep a shared journal that circulates amongst you and you can all read/write entries in it. Fun stuff. ^^
Don't bother sending me messages or anything, I'm not in charge of the site anymore.

But I do love dancing.

I was never mich of a diary keeper. Even with no siblings to sneak peeks at it, I happen to know that some of my friends will raid my room looking for it if I fall alseep early at slumber parties XD. It's too dangerous, lol.

I do have an LJ, a xanga, and a myspace, but that's mostly to keep up with all my friends (I wish they would all just pick one and stick to it...).

I haven't done a friend notebook since 7th grade, and considering all it did was start fights I doubt I ever will again...

I also have a xanga, a myspace, and an LJ (though the last one I almost never use...)

I think I kept one in 5th grade for a few months...

I would have to say I do. Although it has not been updated in a while. It is triple encrypted with three of the strongest encryptions known today, and an extra 256 AES built into the jump drive. I doubt even Jeremie could get into it.

Maybe with that super-computer, but after enough brute forcing I think the jump drive would just die.

Well I don't think anyone wants their dairy to be read.

Maybe it's just my hackerish mindset that tells me to keep it locked up so much.

Well, if it's a diary... btw, I used my hi5 space once as journal (wrote it in English on purpose just so many people that I know wouldn't understand it, among the lines of writing once in Spanish saying that if you don't know English, then *insert BKO word* yourself), but I don't use it that much, then the blog on my Msn Space (in English, for the same reasons as the Hi5 thing) and the LJ account is just only for LF friends.

It must be nice to be bilingual. Spanish is just hard for me to grasp. Just wondering...couldn't they just use a online translator to get an idea of what you were saying?

I'm sure some could do that, or just grab the dictionary, but then some are really lazy and/or are complete ignorants on English, or have a very poor level on that language. Most likely, it would be...

-Rodri, ¿que significa esto? (Rodri, what does that mean?)
-Oye, ayúdame a traducir este artículo. Tu has vivido en los Estados Unidos, así que sabes muy bien el inglés. ¿Que significa esta palabra? (Hey, help me to translate this article. You've lived in the US, so you know english very well.)
-Oye, ¿por qué escribes en inglés? (Hey, why do you write in english?)

The second one really annoys me a lot. I'll explain that later on BKO.

I guess I'm OK at picking up on languages.. apparently I'm one of my Spanish teacher's "outstanding students" whatever that means (considering you're supposed to stop being able to easily learn new languages at like 9 or something) and I never really feel like I -can't- learn a little of something (besides Chinese @.@ or like basically anything that doesnt use the Latin alphabet. Well okay I can write my name in Romaji but that's it. :P)

..hey! speaking of which I was like the only one to understand what my teacher meant when he said "que significa" today lol (not because he'd never said it before, but because nobody else paid attention)

I keep a journal, not a diary (if there is a difference). I dont really write in in much (I usually do every two weeks, or when something big happens). I always say "tonight for sure" then I dont...lol.
