Teen Titans CANCELED!!!!!

I went to www.titansgo.net when I cam upon the news. Heres what they wrote.

As many of you've probably heard from Animation Insider, (Animation Insider is a huge website with updates on anyting animated) the show's chances of getting renewed for a 6th season are dismal. Fans are being urged to send letters to express their support.

Mailing hand-written letters to Cartoon Network stating your concerns about the show being cancelled may go a very long way to changing their minds. Therefore, we urge any and all Teen Titans fans to further the cause and send their thoughts to Cartoon Network, as well as getting the word out to anyone you know. Don't let the best show on CN end before its time. (My thoughts: Almost CL number one ^^)

As for why the show is getting cancelled, we can only hazard a guess. AWN reported awhile ago of a massive layoff among the Warner Bros divisions which may've delayed a season pickup. TitansGo.net has also heard from production sources that Cartoon Network simply has little interest in keeping the series. The reason may be more than most know, and sadly, production crews tend to be last to know about their shows being renewed. We will keep you updated on the situation as we find out more, as well as further ways fans can help.

In other news, TVShowsOnDVD.com reports that Teen Titans will be getting Season DVD sets. The "Teen Titans - The Complete 1st Season" DVD will be available in stores February 7th, 2006.

Well, sure haven't gotten many posotive comments. I still stick by it, for I have been with the show since the beginning. I'm sure that if this was Code Lyoko, it would be much different.

You're stereotyping it. It is not anime because it wasn't made in Japan or even meant to be an anime. Just because it has a different art style doesn't mean you should automatically dismiss it as a total waste of time. That's like saying CL is anime. It's influenced, yes, but it's original. I respect your right to have your own opinion, but it seems to me that you're disregarding it because it's new and variated from the original. That's not always a bad thing. And tell me, if this show was total crap, why would it have such a huge fanbase?

Teen Titans is supposed to be a style that employs anime-based effects, but is still largely Western. Based off of the hit comics of the 1980s, the show takes a new perspective off of old stories.

It's supposed to be different.

And TT is not because it doesn't have sex in it.

as for your definition, well the largest anime i've got on my pc is naruto, which is (very) loosely based on feudal japan, which is not really futuristic, although i have watched stuff like OS, cowboy bebop and trigun so i can see what you mean

as for the violence and sex part, its not really "characterized" by it, although stuff like elfen lied certainly contains too much

anime doesnt have to be from japan... although i've never seen one that isnt, although TT and C:L are done in an anime-like-style

although i cant really call myself an expert becouse the UK doesnt get much anime... i've had to download NG:evangelion, naruto, .hack//sign, cowboy bebop and all the rest i've got saved in my L drive

Wow, alot has been going on. O_O Lets not argue over this people. Thanks Lomesir22, and Your De-Virtualization for sticking up for Teen Titans. Teen Titans is supposed to be a little anime style, but not alot. It's mostly American. Razputin Nein, I understand your opinion, and I respect it. If you feel that its a discrace or anything else, you can feel that way. Now, lets all just stop this annoying fight and get along.
